  1. JUST ADDITIONAL INFO:

Just today also replaced the 18:1 gear in a 2008 Beaver Contessa.  The new ALL METAL GEAR was also purchased from Amazon.  Lippert P/N 117292 bedroom ABOVE FLOOR SLIDE.  NOTE:  If the slide is "IN" it is necessary to cut a access hole in the bottom of the slide floor!  ALSO NOTE that if the motor should fail there is NO Way to get a drill with 5/8" socket on the gear box to move the slide IN or OUT without a 36" long extension.  Poor design to say the least!

Just information that might be helpful.

  2. Turned on diesel on the AH DIESEL SW on control panel.  Could hear a relay/or contactor on the control board "CLICKED" but NO display or control lights at all on the control board.  HOWEVER, AH fires, heats coolant, and produces heat in BOTH ZONES (both zone pumps work normally).  As a sanity check felt the exhaust pipe and it was HOT.  Unit appears to be totally functional yet NO STATUS LIGHTS on the CONTROL BOARD.

ALSO, checked the FRB for a fuse and could  NOT find any fuse or reference to the AH.

    Thoughts or suggestions.

  3. Martin,

Reference the one that was posted originally it was a 2 piece holder.  See this reference file:///Users/ronaldshantos/Downloads/185857775_Newcupholder%20(10).pdf.  The one at the link provided is a one (1) piece and says "La Palma - Monaco RV Cup Holder - Gas Engine Only". It appears to not have the separate trim piece covering the screws.

    Sorry for the confusion.

  4. Problem resolved.  The switch in the electrical bay was defective on the retract side.  The switch is a Carling SPDT.  Found that they can be carefully taken apart and clean the contacts.  The contact were not pitted but just dirty.  Put it back together and all works.  I did order a new switch on ebay for a backup.

Thanks for all the GREAT info!  Interesting that this circuit does NOT have a relay providing the voltage to the hydraulic pump instead of a switch for the open & close.

  5. The hydraulic system (pump) also operates both of the FRONT room slides in & out with NO problems every time.. The slide EXTENDS the generator with NO problems.  The problem is RETRACTING the generator slide.  I suspect the generator slide switch in the lower driver side bay OR the relay.  I have NOT been able to locate the generator slide relay, I assume that it is relay controlled.  Pushing the retract switch repetitively will eventually retract the generator slide.

I do not know the model.  The hydraulic pump is Lippert

  6. MODERATOR ACTION

This is the original Post, with the title edited to include pertinent information.  A DUPLICATE was just posted....  This is in violation of the Site Rules.  No action will be taken at this point....

Please DO NOT REPEAT or DUPLICATE A POST...

Generator slides hesitates to CLOSE when the switched is pushed.  Will eventually close after repeated attempts.  ALWAYS OPENS on the first attempt.  Suspect the rocker switch or the relay??  Any information on where the relay to CLOSE the Generator Slide is appreciated.
