  1. Yes I did see that..I saw a post on the IRV2 site with Bill's name & this site in regards to a member asking for some help with his "Cruise Control" & Bill was referred to as an EXPERT on it.
  2. Thanks for the reply Bob...in the the beginning of this chase I did hear this & changed out my filter..even though I didn't have ATC on the coach as I stated & it didn't changed the issue. It has to be something relatively simply since I absolutely no performance issues driving that 1000 miles home. I sure it's not a Smart wheel master control problem or clock spring since the amber CEL disengaged the Cruise while underway. I'm trying to avoid going to Cummins for the obvious..cost! I gotta tell you I'm disappointed with both Spartan & Cummins for they're lack of help in giving them a ton of info on this problem. They're kinda pointing at each other saying it's chassis issues the other saying it's an engine sensor issue. It shouldn't be this hard.
  3. While underway my cruise control disengaged & I tried to reset it but it wouldn't & saw a Amber CEL on so but no performance issues as I looked at my TRIPTEK & all looked good too. I stopped for a fuel up & looked everything over & I restarted & no CEL but Cruise wouldn't turn on..so I recycled the chassis batteries got back on the road & the cruise turned on & set..but only lasted about 20 miles or so & the Amber CEL came back on but I drove another 1000 miles home with no issues. I purchased a Scangauge-D & got a ID 151...FM 14...CNT 1 fault code & they use Big Diesel code system says it's ATC Control Status Identifies the current state of the ATC (automatic traction control) control functions, signals, lamp and switch. I went to my Cummins Quickserve & it converts the 151 to a SPN 110...FMI...Lamp Color Description Red..Engine (Coolant Temperature Sensor)- Data Valid But Above Normal Operating Range - Most Severe Level...Reason: Coolant temperature signal indicates coolant temperature has exceeded the engine protection limit.None of this happened with the Cummins SPN 110. I called Spartan on the ATC code since I'm not aware the coach even has an ATC system just ABS & he confirmed it doesn't & told me to find the Bussman Box & pull the ABS fuses & ee if that helps...I did...& it didn't. I cleared the code but no cruise..BTW the PTO using the Cruise controls works fine! Frustrated I installed a new Coolant Temp Sensor anyway & no change. Just to test the that sensor & circuit I left the connector off & run the engine & the dash temp gauge was swinging up & down & the CEL was on..scangauge said code SPN 110 as it should...then reconnected it & all's back to normal CEL went off & cleared the code. Which brings me back to the SPN 151 code. I'm tryin to get to the ECM to pull & inspect the connecters for any issues but I can't get to it. I've seen where owner was chasing down a similar issue for weeks from the front on the coach to the back inspecting every connector & finally got to the ECM & after taking the 2 connectors out & seeing some corrosion on them cleaned them up & low & behold No more CEL..He had an older coach like mine. So I'm at 3 weeks now digging for info. Any insight to this my right foot & I would appreciate it. 2004 American Eaglecummins 400 ISLSpartan MM chassis
