It’s a good way to get to the coast! I have done it about 10-15 times in the last 15 years. Beautiful scenery. Some serious grades, but no problem if you pay attention and take your time! I started traveling it, driving a Volvo semi towing a Living Quarters horse trailer, 68’ total length, and have done it 6-7 times with my 43’ MH with a toad, 66’ total. Used it last April ! The Hwy has been improved over the years, and is very good overall! There is I very nice rest stop we use, about 1/2 way to the coast. Here are the GPS coordinates. 40.882733°, -123.547127. Use google earth to locate it. Enjoy!!
