  1. I do not know if this information has been previously posted, did not find in “seach.”

I do not know if Monaco used a belt driven hydraulic pump which supplied the power steering and cooling fan(s).

The hydraulic pump on my 97 Dynasty is shaft driven from the Engine Air Compressor.

This pump originally made by Sauer Sundtrand, sold to Danfoss, sold to Webster and QCC was the last manufacturer.

Information from the Foretravel Owenrs (Foreforums) indicate the hydraulic pump part number 41188 are no longer available from any source.

The last manufacturer of this pump, QCC is considering making another production run of this pump.

If this pump effects you, please contact Simone Morris, Senior Product Sales Engineer, 708-887-6282| simone@qccorp.com to support QCC’s decision to move forward on new pumps.

I don't understand exactly what triggers to refill that tank and what it looks like and where to find it underneath the coach.

If I understood your question, the D-2 Governor is what controls the start and stop of the Air Compressor by monitoring air pressure in the front tank. Most likely located near the engine driven Air Compressor.

A very common leak point on the front air tank is the Pressure Protection Valves (PPV) recently replaced all three of mine due to two leaking.

Attached is a generic drawing of a typical air system.

  3. On 97 Dynasty, there is a pathway between the frame rails. At the rear bulkhead, where all wiring cables and fuel lines exit, there is plate attached. The plate has an exit area filled with foam. I used a metal snake to punch through the foam from the rear side and attached a pull line to pull through needed wires to add an EGT. When I upgraded the rear camera and monitor, used existing wiring and made up adapters from old connectors to new type required.

  5. You can pull both axles and use Axle Caps to prevent oil leaking out. Some prefer the axles over the driveshaft as few mark the drive shaft for proper re-install. If you see new trucks being piggy backed down the highway, you may observe simple cardboard covers in place and axles tied on the frame. Preferably we do not have to towed as first choice. Just a thought. Travel safe.

  6. The first ten (10) Air Throttle Conversion Kits have been sold.

Feedback on the base kit has been positive, thanks to all.

Currently getting bids from machine shop for ten more sets.

Unfortunately prices keep going up, especially for steel parts.

As a reminder, this is for mechanical Cummins diesels only.

Anyone interest in information, feel free to contact me.

    Best wishes and Travel safe.

Those relays act as Transfer Switches between Shore Power and Inverter Power.

Three are 120VAC relays and one is a 12 VDC Relay.

When on Shore Power the three relays are activated and pass 120VAC into the coach, with NO shore power, the relays are de-activated and connect to the Inverter.

On my coach, the 12 VDC relay switches 120VAC between the Microwave and 120VAC Hot Water Heater. You cannot run both at the same time, if running Microwave, must have Inverter running to operate the Hot Water Heater.

    Simple drawing attached.
