I took my RV out yesterday and come nightfall it started getting chilly.  I turned on the thermostat to furnace,  fan blows but no heat and outside exhaust does not blow.

    Water heater not heating water.

All was working two weeks ago.

Ronald, here are the filters I use. There are others, of course. I've found these to be the best for my situation. YMMV Hope this helps....Dennis

    Filtrete : 3WH-STDPLL-F02

    Filtrete : 3WH-STDCW-F02

    Thanks.  Much Appreciated.

Anyone have an idea of the size filter elements that goes in the filter holder.

I went to change the filter and none was in the holder.  Paid for it to be done in Idaho and they didn't put any in.

My '95 Monaco Dynasty's air horn has been failing for awhile and is now kaput. The fuse is OK. The attached picture shows what I believe to be the air horn solenoid. As you can see no wiring can be seen. It appears that I could access the wiring by either (1) removing the dash gauge panel or (2) removing the upholstering that is just above knee level from the driver's seat or (3) I might also be able to remove the phillips head screws that appear to mount the solenoid in the generator bay and pull it forward to show the wiring. What appears to be the solenoid here is on the driver's side of the generator and above the top of the generator cage.

I am uncomfortable doing any of this without asking for advice first. If anyone has a clue about how to proceed I would be forever grateful. Thanks, Pete.

I recently had a problem with my air horn on a 2004 Monaco Executive.

Spent a  lot of money for mechanic searching for the problem.   I was told I needed a controller,  bad wiring,  etc.

Long story short,  I ordered a air solenoid from Amazon,  and WOW, horn works.  No wires to deal with.   Just changed solenoid.

Does anyone have experience with changing out or replacing the fabric on their Monaco?  I'd like to change all at the same time with the same color.   Some are beginning to show wear and could fall apart at any time.

Parts numbers or vendors that you have used would be helpful.

I am getting estimates from a company called Tough Top today but their product is vinyl.

    Any ideas/suggestions on fabric replacement?

Picture of the cutoff valve and the quick disconnect.

I routed the new propane hose above the propane tank across to the passenger side and then rearward into the next compartment where we store the grill.

    Good morning.

Do you have the parts numbers for the cutoff valve and quick disconnect in your picture?  Much Appreciated.

Have anyone install an Extend-A-Stay device to their propane tank for use with other propane devices.   Keeps you from carrying a propane tank.

The plumbing in the galley of my RV is broken.   There is a piece  of plumbing attached to a rail that moves back and forward when the slide moves.  My flexible hose on one end has detached and broken on the other end.

Any ideas/suggestions on the best way to repair.   Is that slide piece sold somewhere?  Any information would be Appreciated.   Thanks.

  9. Hello.

    Ron P.  2004 Monaco Executive

I changed out my air solenoid.  Tested the horn and nothing happened.   A couple days later,  I got on the road to go to Bethany Beach.   Hit the horn and it works.   I'll see what happens Wednesday when I pull out.

Well, my horn is still working.   Swapping out the air solenoid must have done the trick.

    Thanks everyone for your assistance.

  10. Okay.   I ordered new pump and 10 amp latching controller.   Start over clean.   Will be heading home on Thursday.

Haven't heard anything from the OP as to whether he has tested the pump itself with 12 VDC power to make sure it runs.

Also, I always carry a spare Aqua-Jet water pump. When we travel, we seldom use campgrounds or RV Parks on the way to our final destination. So being without water is not an option. It is far cheaper to carry a spare pump than to pay for a nights stay just to have shore water supply.

I ordered a new pump and a 10 amp latching controller.

Problem now is, I have lost power to source that causes green light in the kitchen when water pump button is pressed.   No power to latching controller.

When I checked the pump, it did run.

Decided to upgrade,  but don't know where the breaker. fuse, that controls the system.

I tested the pump and it ran.  Then I stuck a hot wire to the latching controller and poof, no power on none of the three pump buttons and the green light in the galley is out.

  12. Thanks for checking.   I haven't had the opportunity to do a check yet.  Spare pump sounds like a good idea.

I'm new at this.   You can probably tell.

My original Aqua Jet II just suddenly gave up the ghost (less than a week ago) after working perfectly for years, including all through latest So Texas freeze where we disconnected from city water and used the tank exclusively during the freeze.  I verified power at the pump and concluded pump just went bad.  Installed a new SureFlo (4 GPM, 10A vs original 5.3 GPM 10A) from what I could find on the road while driving from Tx to GA as it was at the first potty stop that we had no water 😟, and was planning some overnights just parking on the way.  The SureFlo has different pressure specs for by-pass and internally routes water from outlet back to the input side (supposedly accumulator not needed but for simplicity I kept it in the system. I may want/need another check valve after I see how well this design works in low city water pressure situations with Auto Fill enabled, but at least I have water again.) Runs a little quieter and even though the GPM is stated as lower, it seems to be adequate in the few days of use so far. The 10A max draw matched the original pump.

So I would verify power at the pump first.  Pumps do die and shouldn't blow fuses.  There may be a better pump out there but I was on the road needing water....

    FWIW

    Thanks.   Much Appreciated.
