  1. I am surprised that you haven't had problems with those Bosh Calipers swelling up with moisture. They were owners on the old MCOA and Monicores that had lots of problems including my SNL with them and at the time the only solution was changing the brake fluid each year to keep the moisture out of fluid. Some coaches even had them to catch fire including my SNL.

  2. I would replace the brake fluid each year in the Bosh calipers by doing a complete flush to solve the moisture problem.

on the CAC & radiator clean Job it can be cleaned by using a Soap mixture to clean procedure that Tom posted years ago on the other forum  i think it was Dawn and Simple Green, you should do a complete flush to get all of the simple green of of the CAC .

When i had a 99 Diplomat i would wash the radiator by filling a 1 gallon sprayer with simple green & Dawn (protect the Altanator) first start the engine using the fan to shove water through both cac and rad then spray with the soap mixture of Dawn and S G ( wont hurt to rive the engine up to make sure it all the way through if its a stack system as was in the 99 Dip)then let it set for 15 to 20 min . Do this again if its really bad. Then flush with clear water real good using the engine fan to help clean off all gunk and soap.

Many rv owners don't know the difference

    Between AC. Or DC. Current.

Nor where what source comes from.

Or, where is my water pump ?

Where is my inverter ? And, whats it for ?

This is why these foruns are so critical to servival .

But many cant describe issues ? nor read a meter to tell what the volts of a battery or battery bank is.

What bank ? What meter ? Its a VERY BIG LEARNING CURVE.  For many. For all.

Unles they are a competent DIY

Nore do they understand Inverters and or Converters charger's nor much about batteries and types of batteries.

Big boy solenoid s, latching or otherwise

Ive seen it stated many a time that most issues are of owner, operator origine. Visit with rv techs sometime 😂😂😂

So nothing surprises me.  Be patient and Kind.

Whats a little toilet paper in your fuel filter gonna hurt 😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥

John that is where this forum excels , if they are new to the RV word this forum is a excellent place to get educated on the how and when.

my system pipes are.... HUUUUGE. so im not worried about it.

the "STOP LEAK" also contains a dye.  that if it cannot be sealed, it will expose it, so you can seal it manually.

it seals the gaskets and stuff, the small, little seals.

my ASE certified for automotive, trucks, RV's, 18 wheeler trucks. said that this "stop leak" seals at the exposure point only.

i got a guy helping me, that makes $175,000 a year fixing Ford's and other vehicles.  He knows what he is doing.

Eric hope you have good luck especially since you used a stop leak, my 2000 Dyn has the expansion valve insted of a orfice

tube on the AC system, i dont know what your 96 has but assume it has a expansion valve and if so its a good chance the stop leak

will plug it up (its up front on the fire wall) if its a orfice tube they dont generly plug.

  6. And have the ride height set , if you dont know the ride height do a search or check the files.  You should also Have a dash ground bar behind the dash or on the fire wall  and it is a known problem most owners clean the wires and tighten the screws.

if raising the front solves the problem then that is where i would start, the wire looms are generally run through a 2 inch pvc  pipe from the rear axle  to the front just behind the front axle.

  7. With all air out sitting on bump stops and the ride height is correct I went out and checked at the steps out no air 7 1/2 in aired up in travel mode 11 inches, David your skirts could be different than mine but I don’t think that that it’s that much difference in the belly height about 6 ft in front of the rear duals. Not trying to be difficult but it’s just not the big deal that is posted time and again.

check your step reading I would be interested in knowing your measurements I know you have a late 90s Dyn but don’t remember the year.

Never ever get under a vehicle supported by air suspension or hydraulic jacks.   A leak in either system can suddenly drop the coach to within about 4" of the ground.

Use heavy duty jack stands rated for the load.  Then a hydraulic jack can be used under the axle to line up the mounting bolts.

David sorry to say not so on the 2000 dyn the skirt is best i remember about 9 or 10 inches of clearance and the coach bottom  2 x were 11 or 12 inches of clearance as we have had this discussion many times on the old Monacoers web site in fact Bill B wanted to put life insurance on me because i was always working on my coach without jacks. It’s on a couple places that I’m aware of the gen exhaust and the steps when out that can mash me .

I use a Roadmaster Brake Master.

    https://www.roadmasterinc.com/products/braking/brakemaster/brake_m.php

It is real simple, easy to put in/ out.

Put clamp on brake pedal, pin under edge of seat, & plug in air line under dash.

Another air line from coach to toad, & done.

    I like it...

Dave i also used the Brakemaster on 6 different toads until i decided to give it a go on installing a M&G but of course you cant use the M&G on just any vehicles  but the hook up is so easy.

  10. I would also suggest the M&G system  one of the simplest and best systems out there and not that hard to install, i have installed one on  a 2013  F150  and a 2017 Ram their is nothing to wear out in the M&G except the big O ring and i dont think you will ever be able to wear it out.

Toms suggestion on buying a rebuilt system is spot on it can save a few hundred dollars,  https://m-gengineering.com/compatibility-list/     Talk to Monty he is easy to deal with.

I installed my base plate myself and followed the instructions to the letter including the use of the red loctite.  The base plate also included 2 very heavy cables with shackles with instructions to wrap around the frame and the base plate.   I looked an newer base plates and they do no require/include the cables but to me it's cheap insurance.  I mounted my break away tank up just in front of the radiator attached to the frame.  I inspect my base plate every time I'm under the Jeep, did it just last month.  All bolts were tight and the rest of the base plate looked as new.

James the reason that Blue Ox added those cables years ago is they had a lot of failures, if your base plate is installed properly with thread loc and torque as per instructions i dont think you would have a problem with any baseplate , i do think Roadmaster base plates are more robust and i have installed the baseplates on all my toads (over the years and for friends and never had one to come loose .

  12. The HR Endeavor coaches were on Freightliner chassis until 2000 when they changed over to a Monaco chassis some time in 2000. The procedure for setting the ride heigh was changed in the early 2000 from the H frame to the air bag , its not clear the date of the change but i think between 03 and 04 ?
I know for sure the 1999 Dip and 2000 Dyn use the H frame to main frame figures for adjustment.

Walt,  I am in a state of shock. How long has it been ?  I hope everything is going well with you. Remember our Sunday night chats.  What was the name of the RV Resort in Louisiana  that was discussed ?  I think it was north of Shreveport ?  It was owned by an Indian band.

    John F.

Walt,  Was the place Coushatta RV Resort in LA.

    John F.

Yes  John  and  Bill Fauber a  RoDger made all the arrangements it was Coushatta Casino  just north east of Lake Charles ( Fauber is not doing well now)  it was just before the Frog Rally at Raine la put on by Monaco. Rodger put a get together the next year at the Paragon Casino  in  Marksville La about south east of Alexandra La. Both of these have a large RV park  also Hollywood Casino in  Bay St Luis MS has a largeRV park.

John i have been staying busy gardening and paying with my Tractors and going to the Auto Auction  on Thursdays  at my advance age we dont use the Coach a lot but i keep it serviced  and ready to go if needed. It was so good to here from you John  and i hope you are doing well.

I have been a member since Bill D. stared the group many years ago. After a couple of years of doing the rally at Lazy Days it was discussed trying new location. There was a real nice RV resort at an Indian Casino in Arkansas or Louisiana I can't remember which.  Well considering we have a large number of members in Florida that didn't want to travel anywhere else the rally location has remained in Florida. When Bill D. was still alive we talked about making a trip back but never did. It is just too far to travel from Palm Springs to a three day event in Florida.

    John Fraser

Hi John so nice to see a post from you, i also agree with your suggestion but dont think it any thing will come from it. I like Louisiana or Arkansas also

Thanks to all who provided insight.

I did purchase a Fumoto valve for my ISM engine, but after reviewing all your replies and finding that the Fumoto valve does not have any protective cap to protect the outside exposed part of the ball valve from road dirt, etc, it went back to Amazon who graciously provided a full refund.

I have instead opted for the Femco unit that does have a protective cap, and does not extend any further than the original pan bolt.  I still don’t like the idea of forfeiting the magnetic plug on the original pan bolt, but will try living without that.

Ward the protective cap on a oil drain is not really not important that i can see as i dont  save the used oil and the sand cant enter the pan but i do understand not trusting it on the ISM engine because it does hang awful low and i sure wouldn't trust it .

  16. I have had one for years, the little valve arm is spring loaded on my valve and has to be raised up in order to open it, i have never had a problem on our ISC  engine.

I do remember a post years ago on one of our old members with a ISM  after fueling up he damaged the valve exiting the truck stop by dragging the rear of the engine luckily he checked before going down the road as oil was running out of the engine.
