  1. If the hole in the door seal is small you may get a way with using a bicycle tube patch, or a automobile tire patch make sure you clean the area. Acetone or finger nail polish remover.  No guarantees 

  2. On a friend 2006 I removed the rear camera to check for a loose connection. The wiring was just hanging in between the cap and closet wall swing around, after wiggling the the connection the camera started working. We pulled the connector apart and clean the terminals, secured the wires.  There was maybe three feet of wiring hanging . I could easily drilled a hole into the closet with a ex-long drill bit.

  3. Did you happy to check the Voltage at the plug on the pedestal. With a dim light I’m wondering if one leg is low voltage. Sometime the plug at the pedestal (female)  is bad from over heating ( heavy use like running three A/C) I would check the plug on the end of the cord for signs of over heating as well.  With just 2 A/C running the amp drew is lower, the plug may work because not as much heating on the terminals.  Just something I would check. Rich
