I think you will find that the Revision is far into the alphabet plus I don't think they are user replaceable.

Call Norcold to found out how to replace the "black box" safety device.

    Certified tec only.

  2. Good to know

    Thanks for sharing.

Many Monacoers go to JoSams Orlando

    Dennis,

If my math is correct, are you saying that it cost just under $4000 to replace all 10 air springs?

I have a 04 Executive also with ISM 500. My warning light have been come on and off now for 2 years since I own the coach. It was doing the same for previous owner. I also don't have a code. I know on a car there are soft code and hard code. Soft code you can see it on the scanner but will not turn on the check engine light. On the other hand hard code will set the check engine light. Been looking for the issue and still haven't found it. I don't have any doubt that the coach will take me to where ever I want to go.

Many owners will tell you that a bad or contaminated low coolant indicator will send a code.

Even though the coolant is and was adequate.

Now that's one case where you could drive for years without issues.

I do hate to have a dash light on.

But with the Barometric pressure sensor bad 👎 , and everything up to snuff.

    And running good.

It took me 18 months to get into the correct shop with the right tech.

He did tell me, realy that I may notice a little more power at high altitudes climbing hills.

But many choose not to spend the $$$s

    To install the new sensor.

    Hello

Last night all the 12v "flickered" almost like a brown out.  This morning everything 12V was not working.  anything that needs 120 (microwave, fridge, outlets) was working.

I assume it is the Salesman Relay.  The switch at the door has never worked so i assumed it was bypassed.  Attached are pictures of the switch and what I think is the relay.  Am I looking at the right thing? There is 12V at the right side of the relay and 0V at the left side.  Can I just move a wire from one side to the other?

Jump the relay and see if you have DC  power.

    Yes

You can move the Hot over 😏

There were codes that they were chasing down, it’s been a year so I can’t remember what they were, I have the paper work in the coach but it is in the storage lot. It is very hot and smokey in Seattle so I am staying put for a couple days I will look ln a couple days

So could they erase the codes and turn the light off 🤔 ?

    Most Cummins technicians can.

I also have 2001 executive with the 500 hp Cummins with the warning light on, had it in the shop they checked the codes found nothing. Test drove the coach no change they said they would continue to try and track down the cause but we’re not hopeful and I was already at 1000 bucks , so I said I was good. Since then have driven cross country and back with no problems. That’s my 2 cents

So what did they do for $1,000  if there were no codes 🤔 ???

    John,

That is interesting information.  My 2001 HR Endeavor has the same "warning" light and on occasion it will flicker or stay on for a short period of time like when driving up a steep hill.  I thought it was also connected to fluid levels such as coolant and hydro.  One time I found the coolant a bit low, topped it off and problem solved.  However you now have me thinking it could be a bad Barometric Pressure sensor....which somehow relates to "engine power"???

At times, I feel my 330hp engine should have more power, so I am wondering if I should have this checked?  I will be passing thru Morgantown, WV in Sept on my wat to Colorado/South Dakota, so maybe I should swing in there and see if they can diagnose?

    What wiring harness was upgraded/replaced?

That wiring wire harness was a recall from Cummins years ago.

It attached in line to the Barometric pressure sensor .

It's a long time family Cummins service center that takes walk ins

Off I-68 behind Pilot on the North side

They said before they ran the codes that the light could indicate any one or more of 100 issues.

    Fortunately

    This was a simple fix.

Thanks John, interesting. Do you know the fault code number and the new part number by chance?

    Sorry

    No

A certified Cummins service center just east of Morgantown West Virginia  Down a hill below a pilot station. On the old state route

Cost to Checked for codes, $60. Erased the 1. Code and replaced the harness and Barometric pressure sensore.

    Total bill listed above.

I just bought a 2001 Executive. I noticed a red "warning" light was always on. The previous owner said it had been on for years and nobody knew why.
The owners manual eluded to a possible low fluid condition but I find everything is full. Anyone have this light on their rig?
My coach has a Cummins ISM 500 and I can't identify a troubleshooting method to zero in the cause of the light.
I checked for DTCs and there are none. I checked the wiring diagram and see that the "warning" light is triggered by the engine ECM.
The coach runs well. I drove it home 350 miles no issues.
    Thanks in advance.

Anyone know where the 12 volt fuse supplying the Norcold is located on an 04 Windsor? I am changing the control board.  I can probably just pull the  12 v wires apart but prevent any problems I would like to kill the 12 v at it's source

    Thanks

There is a 12 volt wire feed to your control board.

    Hey Gang,

I lost my driver side wiper during our cross-country trip with the family this summer. Only the arm that extends from the motor remains.

I contacted Wiper Technologies, and they said they don't carry the 32’’ arm part # 1433290, which is apparently what I need. They do have a 29" version, which I may end up having no choice but to buy.

Anybody know of another source? I have included a few pics in case they prove helpful.

    Thank you!

    Don

Here are those pics I promised.

Same thing happened to me 2 years ago.

But mine broke off at the attachment point.

When I was at visone 6 months latter they got me a matching pair off a 2001 Signature sitting out front.

    Now I have 1 spare.

I have no doubt that this young man could repair it.

He is a good friend of ours living outside of Hamler, malenta Ohio.

He ran flat track at one time.

    Great guy

He bought the cap for the Monaco at Visone in Kentucky.

    What's different is.

He has and is willing to spend BIG, BIG BUCKS , ON Quality Investments.

They admit that if they counted the value of labor, shop time and expenses.

Plus new or junk yard parts. 🤔

They come out about even or over cost of buying the same model and year outright and using the vehicle,  boat or rv for that 1 to 5 years of ownership.

They say only 50% of bus conversations are completed by the original owner with intentions to have a drivable, live in traveling conversion.

When I was getting my rig ready to travel I tested the WH on gas, it would ignite but not stay lit.  What finally fixed it was that I took the control board out, disconnected the wiring harness.  It was mounted behind the water heater on the wall.  When I was taking it out I saw water drip from it.  So I took it to the workbench and used a heat gun and dried it out.  That got it working.  May not be your problem if the water heater was not trying to ignite.

Then when I was on the trip the water heater didn't light one day, I panicked.  Started to check fuses, checked power to the switch.  Couldn't figure it out and put everything back together.  I went to bed and when I got up I flipped the switch and it came on.  Evidently the water was hot and it wouldn't turn the water heater on, probably overridden by the thermostat.

    Good point

Reading the rv forum's the past 20 some year's

Many rv ers don't understand how the thermostat works.

    Especially on multiple power appliances

Like aqua hots and hot water heaters.

Many only turn the appliances on when they want heat or hot water.

Thinking the unit is burning or heating ( constantly ) 24/7 and that they save propane,  diesel or DC battery power.

The Suburban water heater in our 2003 Windsor suddenly quit working on gas.  Worked fine last night but when we tried to turn it on this morning...nothing.  I have checked and replaced both fuses ( in the fuse panel and under the counter).  Power to the switch but nothing happens at the water heater itself.  Where should I look next?

Do you hear it trying ? To ignite?

So you turned it off last night ?

Do you turn it off every night?

    Doesn't your thermostat work ?

    John,

You are correct, I asked for opinions and I got them. What I don't understand is your insistence that I have everything fixed before I take it in for inspection. I took it to an RV Service center. I expected service. I don't always have the time, strength, energy, tools or knowledge to make the necessary repairs beforehand.

    Ok

    Enjoy Florida

    John,

Once again, I expected they would repair it if it failed. If I take my car for inspection and it needs ball joints I have them fix it so it passes. My issue is not that it failed, it is that it failed before they started and they wasted my money with a unnecessary inspection.

    Again

    You created this thread

    You ask

Do you, furum members think I was treated Fairley???

You ask and you got several opinions.

Are you looking for sympathy 🤔

You chose the dealer to get your inspection

You knowingly had the issue with  blocked vision.

You nor any of us on the forum write nor make policy for the dealer that You Chose.

If $$160. And some inconvenience Bothers you this much ???

    So I ask you

Why didn't you get the window fixed before ?

Did you have this motorhome in Florida last year? Or before  Where you could get these windows fixed at Hudson?

Your choise of repair you say.

We can all Agree with your position

But you still are responsible for a solution..

Concentrate your efforts and energy on getting your windows fixed 👌 and passing inspection so you can get to Florida and Enjoy.
