  1. I had a fresh water leak quite similar to what you are describing. Found the leak in the mixer valve made by honeywell. The valve is located inside the box. Aqua Hot wanted $385.00 plus shipping, but I found the very same part on EBay for $95 with shipping! I quess your supposed to turn the setting knob every so often to keep the seals lubricated.
  2. I bought a small box of number 6 (1/2” long) stainless steel screws from Lowes and with a little bit of pressure in the soft stainless hinge, I was able to “self tap” the old rivet hole and fixed 12 hinges for less than $3.00.
  3. They’re from Iowa. Great company and people!
  4. Thanks Dennis & Dick. I have solved my problem. I have a 2004 Monaco Windsor and I hope others with a similar camera system may benefit from my problem. The coach has a discontinued Sony VCB-MHD1 monitor and the associated camera. I had a video loss from the camera but the audio was still working fine. I removed the camera from the rear of the coach and connected it directly to the monitor and video and audio work perfectly. So I started troubleshooting a cable/connection problem. The backup camera system tech drawings state the the cable is Svideo. That is incorrect, it has a totally unique cable/connection. Starting with the monitor the connector is a special 6 pin dim like connector. However, it is a special Sony unique connector. Within about 2 feet this Sony cable gets converted into a audio RCA cable and a video RCA cable. This is all in the dash. Starting from the camera there is about a 2 foot pigtail that connects to Sony unique connector/cable. Somewhere between this connection and the dash it gets converted to the 2 RCA cables. After a days or so of scratching my head I found extra slack in the camera cable and about another 2 feet after the Sony unique connector, I found the same conversion that was at the monitor end! I couldn’t see this second connection due to the small location camera hole. The video cable had some corrosion so I cleaned the connection and now have everything working. The RV’s we drive and love sure do offer us a challenge at times. Thanks again.
  5. I have a open wire between my back up camera and my Sony monitor. The wiring diagrams show that is a single Svideo cable. However, I have a Svideo cable connector end on the camera end and a different Svideo cable connector on the monitor end. From the monitor In the dash I traced the Svideo cable for about a foot or so and the cable is divided into a single video coax, a single audio coax, and two other # 18 black and white wires. Does anyone have any idea where the Svideo cable from the camera gets converted this single video and single audio cables. Also does anyone have a idea why someone did this? It appears that it could have been done at the factory. I traced the cable/wires on the monitor end, under the dash until they went into a group of other wires going some where!
  6. I completed my project last August. I also put a theater seat in the opposing slide. It totally transformed the “living area” of our coach. I tried attaching a photo. I’m not sure if it attached or not. I would be happy to send more photos if you want via email. Power, TV antenna, satellite signal, and surround sound is a challenge.
  7. I’m looking to replace mine but am having a hard time finding a lot of options. What did you replace them with? Thanks
  8. Tough Top Awnings in Washington, State is a very good do it yourself company to work with. I did them on a travel trailer a year or so ago and they were very helpful and easy to work with.
  9. Thanks for your input. I agree it maybe the limit switch may have came loose or went bad. Do you have any idea where I can get a Carefree manual for a 2004 Windsor? I bought the motorhome a few months ago and it has a lot of documentation, but nothing on the Carefree awnings.
  10. When I try to extend my door awning it starts and stops about 3 seconds later. I think it is hanging up or it thinks that it is fully extended. I tried shaking the arms when it starts to extend and they seem free. When it stops ( about 3” to 4” out) I cannot turn the reel. It seems like the motor is holding up the reel. Any ideas?
  11. I’m still looking for a headlight schematic for a 2004 Windsor. I had a few sent to me but nothing on the headlight circuit. Any ideas?
  12. Thanks, Chuck. jjkeffeler@yahoo.com
  13. Thanks Dennis, they look like they will be very helpful.
  14. I have a 2004 Windsor 40PST. I lost my headlights a few weeks ago and after troubleshooting, I found the headlight switch to be bad. I thought the switch fixed my problem until two days ago. In an early morning rain storm they decided to quit again. I’m on my way home and don’t need them now. What I’m trying to find is a wiring diagram of the headlight circuit. Does anyone know where I can find one? Thanks
