  1. If you remove the boost solenoid you already have the single wire needed between the dash and the ACR. It only requires 1 wire to lock on, lock off or auto. None of the other functions of the ML ACR are needed in a 20 year old RV.

I understand people with the diode packs switch to the ML-ACR, but why are you guys with the Big Boy and bird switching as its essentially the same thing just in a smaller package.

I never once had a problem with the Intellitec BIRD or the Big Boy. But by golly I knew someday I would!🙃20210918_093100.thumb.jpg.64f8febd912a819309519dfce5d9f163.jpg20220305_112609.thumb.jpg.3249b5437f0b71461008d98cd798ce59.jpg

Thanks for this - elegant solution.   On the 2007 the boost is P4 on J2, but this solves my problem.   12V House (fused) to one side of the Big Boy, and remove P4 and connect it to the other.  Maintains the board, the boost switch, and disables the BIRD closing the Big Boy.

Will report back when I try it later this week.

    Thanks

    Anand

Confirm it is ground from the switch

  4. If you only want to remove the BIRD's (PB6 board) ability to combine the batteries and retain the Big Boys ability to combine for boost only, no problem. Terminate both control wires to the Big Boy. Run unswitched 12VDC + to one side of the Big Boy. Cut the wire, in 2004 it was org, in p4 of J1 on PB6 and go to the other terminal on the Big Boy. PB6 is mid level on the right side and has 2 yellow buttons and 2 fuses. The board will retain all other functions. 15 minute solution to your problem.

I think you're actually correct.. Especially in the year but I feel like that may pertain more to commercial motor vehicles whereas Recreational vehicles probably got a good discount on the older versions..

My signature Has disk brakes on the steer  Drum brakes on the Drive and tag axle all 4 slack Adjusters Are older models that do not have the  adjustment arm/spline

There are 2 types of auto slack adjusters and by 2000 you had them. The Bendix type has the rod you mention. The Wabco type does not. If you don't have a spring collar holding a 9/16 hex head you have automatics. If you do, someone changed them out.

To the OP, automatics have to be backed off then manually adjusted when installing new brakes.

  6. Richard, Looks expensive and I can't find the parts they are speaking of in 2014.

Bill, I think you will be happy. There are many GPS based features so be sure and get a tablet with GPS or a cellular iPad. I've had it a little over a year and there have been some growing pains but it works really well right now. Read at least the first 20 pages of the manual before you do anything. If going with Android my self and many others will recommend the Lenovo M10. The dongle does not play well with everything and the M10 is trouble free. There is a large community on irv2 and on the BlueFire forum.

  7. It looks as though an 03 Exec is close to an 04 Sig. The 1x3 trim board above the oven is held on with cupboard door or drawer latches and pops off. It' visible below. Once off you will see how it is mounted. I took a lot of the dead oven apart to figure that out. Once the top bracket is unscrewed from the coach bracket it rolls down then lift off. It does top mount like the Dr said. Remove the bracket from the old and put on the new. If you have the European rockers, the ottoman and a couch pillow are the perfect height!

Hey Gary i read where you have the FMCA sprint wi-fi, im contimplating that special, however my question is can it be used for streaming movies or is it mearly data.

Rik, in the west the FMCA T Mobile works great for tv. We  have Amazon, Hulu and Netflix and have no problem with any of it.  The only problem with the plan is it is LTE. When we signed up we were promised 5G in the future. Well the future came and we got 5G from FMCA for 10 gig and then it throttled. After going back and forth with tech at FMCA it came out that T Mobile was not going to honor the plan they had with Sprint. We are now back on 4G with a different hotspot but it does work well at around 25 mb down.
