  1. We no longer have the fifth wheel, sold it in 2017, bought our 2007 Holiday Rambler Endeavor. Rambler has the Domestic ND1200 fridge, no serious issues with it, only replaced the cooling fans in 2018 and added the chase to vent it as the factory did not install it correctly.

  2. We had the Norcold 1200, series in a 2010 Carriage Cameo fifth wheel, that had the overheating issue. Norcold hard the dealer replace that sensor in 2010, then the entire cooling unit failed in 2013.  We were in Casa Grande, Az, had a great tech look at it.  He said our extended warranty company would only pay for a rebuilt, but he would not install it unless the insurance company would accept future liability for potential fires.  The insurance company then approved a new cooling unit.  In 2014 we received a letter from a law firm saying we were part of a class action suit against Norcold and that we would be receiving a check for five years as agreed to by Norcold.  We got a check for approximately$300 every July for five years.  I am not privy to all the events leading up to the lawsuit, but I have read that there were several fires some of which totalled the RV.

  3. Not sure where you live, but we have a former Monaco employee just south of using Junction City, Oregon, business name Amazing Creations, who replace the fridge with a residential for under1k.  You provide fridge of course.  Scott 8s his name, knows these coaches inside and out.

  4. Rich, my post was not meant to imply that you did anything wrong by ordering vs purchasing locally. I agree with buying locally, however, I have run into issues by some folks not wanting to do work unless they sell the product.  Obviously getting the best price in these days of high prices is important.

  5. If that ball of wire is your phone cord to the ac I suspect it was cheaper to leave the ball of wire vs the labor to cut it and add a new connector.  I have seen 4" heat ducts in the ceiling 5 ft longer than needed that restricts the air flow.

  6. Thanks to everyone who posted suggestions.  You know the old adage "who needs the instructions?".  Pulled out the owners manual and it said, for my domestic 1452 model, to keep pushing auto/store button until auto stayed on, I pushed it a few times and once auto engaged it switched to ac for the fridge.

  7. Dave,  on our 2007 Holiday Rambler I position the coach on the site, plug in shore power, using air dump and brake to lower air to about 40psi, turn ignition key to a accessory, turn on leveling system and hit auto level.  The next step has been debated many times, that is deploying slides before or after leveling, I deployed slides after leveling.  I always have a 48 inch carpenter's level to check level front to rear and side to side.  If the auto level isn't level I turn off the leveling system, turn it back on and use manual level to adjust until level.  it dedns like a long process, but it only takes a couple of minutes.
