  1. I’m looking for advice regarding slide floor repair. Is was tipped off to Talin SS Guardian plates by a Monacoers member. We’re currently in Mesa AZ and it appears to me that my two road side slide floors need repairs asap. The bedroom slide has damage pushing through the exterior surface. Roller or glide may be damaged?? The corner seams are open on both slides. I called Talin to see if they could recommend a shop in the Phoenix area for service. They have no recommendation besides Elkhart ID and FL. Our plan is to head west to San Diego area then head north up the entire Pacific coast over the next six months. My desire is to repair or at least patch so that no further damage is done. I’m not sure how much rot and damage already exists. Looking for any advice on permanent and/or temporary solutions. Ideally I’d love to have a local shop install the Talin Guardian Plates Thanks, Ted C
  2. Thanks for all the responses. I did replace the MT970 board and also purchased the BlueSea ML-ACR. Would someone please send me the wiring you used for successful install the BlueSea ML-ACR? Thanks!
  3. What is the recommended sealant to use to finish sealing the skylight to roof? Skylight has been replaced by others, but now needs the top coat of sealant to complete job. Thanks
  4. Mine is Dometic Duo-Therm and looks like the same as your Penguin. Thanks!
  5. 06 Monaco Camelot, lost 1 AC cover in heavy winds in Santa Fe. Does anyone have a suggestion on where I can order two replacement covers?
  6. Ken, please tell me more about this issue. I noticed the marks on the rear bedroom slide floor the other day. It does squeal a lot during extending and retracting. Is this a DIY replacement and where do I get them? Please advise. Thanks Ted
  7. Thanks to all for your experience and wisdom. I now have wood blocks under the tires and we won’t be staying long. Ted C
  8. Thanks All! Rears will stay on the ground. Thank goodness for this forum!
  9. We’re boondocking on uneven ground. Is it okay-safe to have the 4 rear tires off the ground? 06 Monaco Camelot
  10. Any recommendations on a good Trailer Brake Controller for my 06 Monaco Camelot? I’m towing my Honda CRV on a new 7000lb Car Mate flatbed with e-brakes. Thanks Ted C
  11. Has anyone replace the original Isolator Relay Delay? Burnt diode on board. House batteries not charging while driving. Seller added the Bi-Directional Isolator Relay Delay Delay, but I'm still having charging issues. Currently I have the IRD unplugged and only the GROUND & COACH BAT wire connected and I charge the house batteries with generator or shore power. With B-Directional Isolator Relay Delay; IGNITION & SOLENOID wires connected, I seem to have intermittent problems, including FAULT setting on my MAGNUM ENERGY panel. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ted C
  12. What is recommended to lubricate the slide gear? 06 Monaco Camelot quad slide
  13. Thank you to all for your suggestions! We changed the fuel filters and it’s running much better. And, there was a lot of algae present on the old filter. What would you suggest to getting the algae out of the system, as it seems it still has a loss of power. Thank you!
  14. 2006 Monaco Camelot 400 Cummings Recording inconsistent power while driving up and down the hills of PA. Towing Honda CRV on trailer. Sometimes it cruises at 55–60 mph uphill in 5th or sixth gear. Other times, it only does 35 to 40 mph in 3rd or 4th gear on a similar incline. At times, engine bucks underload while climbing. Also, check engine light has come on two or three times during bucking. Note: prior to putting in 40 gallons of diesel, there was no issue with bucking. And, one extremely steep hill resulted in a 35 mph climb. Thanks!
  15. Turns out the "Magic Bus" 06 Camelot does NOT have the Aladdin system. My new ScanGuage D can in the mail today. Looking forward to connecting it as we hit the road tomorrow.
  16. Thanks for the info Richard and Walter! It's all a learning curve for me now. Ted & Nancy C.
  17. It probably does have the Aladdin Jr system. The coach is in storage, so I can't confirm until early next week. We are about to embark on our maiden voyage (02/12/22 - ???) and I'm just trying to get up to speed with all systems prior to departure. My previous experience has been with older, less equipped RV's. At this point, I clearly don't know what I don't know. Based on some recommendations here, I have ordered a Scan Gauge D. If my Camelot is equipped with Aladdin, maybe I don't need it. But I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. As a new to Monaco owner; I'm grateful for all recommendations and advice.
  18. The Temp gauge on my (new to me) 06 Monaco Camelot with Cummings LSI400 has no numbers to read actual temperature. The gauge has; C, H and the two lines that I assumed would be the operating range. So far I have only one 50 mile trip to move the coach to storage. The 50 mile trip had minimal hills and I wasn't towing. The outside ambient temp that day was in the high 20's and I expected the gauge to read in the middle or towards the cold side, but it hovered around the line closest to the HOT side. I believe that the typical operating range should be around 185-205. Can anyone tell me what that should equate to on the gauge with no numbers? Is it typical for that gauge to read so high in cold weather?
  19. I haven't hit the road yet and haven't confirmed my inverter model. Based on my manuals, I have a Magnum ME2012; 200 amp, 2000 VA. I'll check my inverter early next week and we hit the road in about a week. So in 2-3 weeks I'll discover how well the current system works. Thanks everyone for your feedback!
  20. That sounds like a great solution. Which brand/model did you use? Thanks for sharing your experience! My Monaco Camelot came with the Samsung so I haven't changed anything.
  21. I recently purchased our 2006 Monaco Camelot and was initially excited that it has a new Samsung RF18 residential frig. A few day after purchase I realized that this is great when we're plugged into shore power but not so great when boondocking or traveling. I have replaced the 4 house batteries and 2 coach batteries with Interstate lead acid type. Does anyone have experience with a similar scenario? What advice do you have for running the frig and maintaining the batteries and not damaging my inverter? Thanks. Ted and Nancy C, Magic Bus TNC
  22. Rick, thanks so much for your message. I will check that tomorrow!
