  2. I just bought the above Signature. I need to figure out if I can turn it onto my rural gravel driveway from the 18' wide street. I am currently storing it an RV park while I try to figure it out. It will be a left turn onto a 12' wide driveway with a 30' apron. Any information on my turning radius would be greatly appreciated. The Signature brochure states it has a 50 degree turn ability and a 278" wheelbase (I presume the drive axle not including the tag). Thank you in advance for your help.

I am traveling so I am out of sync. One of your sources, Diesel Equipment/Wiper Technologies Division was listed in my manual as the OEM. Apparently, they sold Wiper Technologies who now no longer makes the Signature Arm. However, I was able to locate a dealer for Wiper Technologies that can usually get them to custom make a complete kit [arms, motor, blades, operating mechanism] for around $650. Takes 2 to 3 weeks if they have the components in stock. Longer if not. I am going to try David Pratt's fix-up solution above first. Thank you for your time to help me.
  4. Okay, so at the end of the day I found out that you can no longer buy the replacement arm. However, I took the working passenger arm and moved it the driver side. Arms are identical. That coupled with the five coats of RainX on the entire windshield, I am good to go tomorrow to be home in two days. The coach is great. The Detroit diesel Series 60 motor runs great. All mechanical items are in excellent shape. I really enjoy being a part of the Monacoers group. Thanks to all.
  5. I did the RainX but I finally found an RV mechanic to look at it. He said the spline where the arm attaches is stripped. Anyone have a source for a driver side wiper arm on the 2004 Monaco Signature Conquest? I did not find it on the parts list. Thank you.
  6. My thanks to all for the information. I will follow up when I get home. I am trying the RainX solution. I made it to Walmart and got supplies including a large folding step stool. The idea of needing a ladder or large folding step stool helped a lot. Anyway, I now have about 5 coats of RainX on the front windshield. Hard rain is showing on weather radar in the next hour so I will stay put and leave later. Thanks to all of the help it looks like I am only in for a one-day delay and not two to three. I will post the final result.
  7. I was considering buying a 2004 Dynasty but all of the great information I got persuaded me to change my mind from that particular seller. Instead, I bought a 2004 Monaco Signature Conquest from a seller in British Columbia. Then I sought advice on US Customs and what route to drive from Western Canada. All of the advice led to good decisions and I am very grateful for the knowledge. Now I in Illionois and only 900 miles from home. The trip has gone great. But I have this driver side windshield wiper problem and I am stuck in a Pilot Truck Sop parking lot. The best I can describe the problem is as follows" The driver side wiper on my 2004 Monaco Signature Conquest will not work. The passenger side works fine. The connection of the driver side wiper arm to system is fine. When the wiper blade is removed the connector will operate up and down. Appears to only not work when the load of the wiper is on it. Any ideas to help me?
  8. Thanks to the good advice above, I called the EPA at the number listed on the certification form: (202) 554-140, M-F, 8-5, EST. They promptly answered the phone and said "Does Not Apply" because the RV was pre-owned. Do not file the certification form. They said they get this question a lot. They referenced 40 CFR Part 770: eCFR :: 40 CFR Part 770 -- Formaldehyde Standards for Composite Wood Products (c) Subparts B, C, and D of this part do not apply to the following: (1) Any finished good that has previously been sold or supplied to an end user, an individual or entity that purchased or acquired the finished good in good faith for purposes other than resale. For example, subparts B, C, and D of this part do not apply to antiques or secondhand furniture. So I have notified my USA Customs Broker to not file the Composite Wood Certification form.   10. I am bringing my 2004 Signature Conquest from Canada to the US. US Customs has a form that I will need to submit that requires certification as follows: TITLE VI SECTION 13 COMPOSITE WOOD PRODUCTS “I certify that all composite wood products in this shipment comply with all applicable rules or orders under TSCA and that all of the goods are certified and labelled as compliant with TSCA or any applicable rule or order thereunder.” I think that this is primarily aimed at formaldehyde.   11. I will be leaving Bellingham Washington after the 1st week in March. I will be driving a 45" Monaco Signature. I would appreciate all opinions on which route to choose. The general northern route which ducks down to go past the north entrance of Yellowstone and then goes further south to head west to Virginia versus the I10 route from LA straight across. The northern route is 2,900 miles and the I10 route is 3,900 miles. Of course, the northern route choice will depend on the current week's weather forecast for freezing temperatures, ice and snow. I will only travel in the daytime. Thank you very much for your thoughts.

  13. Cummins said to not drive until diagnostics are done, the problem corrected and the oil changed. They said to have it towed in for service. All done with this topic. Thank you all for your opinions.
  14. My thanks to all for the information. I was told by a Cummins factory service center to go ahead and drive the 100 miles to their location for the oil change. I am not comfortable doing so. I have submitted an email direct request to Cummins. The Cummins website states that they will respond in 24 hours. I will also try to call Cummins direct. The Cummins website provides the number for the call. I do agree that this is a very serious matter. I will post their answer. Thanks again for all of the help.
  15. 2004 Monaco Dynasty Regal 42 with 72,000 miles. Well maintained. I just had the engine oil tested and the fuel dilution came back at 8.5%. The Cummins engine guide shows a 5% amount. The lab test report does not show any significant level of engine wear contamination. There is no gain occurring in the oil level when the RV is driven so I suspect that the problem is from idling too long and stop and go traffic. I need to make a 300 mile trip on I64 through southern West Virginia and Virginia before I can get the oil changed. Lot of low-level mountains. I can go 100 miles out of my way to get the oil changed before I make the trip home or I can drive home and get the oil changed after I get home. If anyone has diesel engine experience in this area please let me know what your opinion is? Thank you in advance for your thoughts.
  16. I have located the windshield washer reservoir. It is in the front generator slide out on the passenger side. Thank you for all of the very good replies.
  17. I am headed out to pick up my recent purchase of a 2004 Monaco Dynasty Regal and my RV report I had done said the windshield wipers work but that the windshield washers do not work. Where is the washer reservoir located so that I can have the person handling the sale check to see if it has washer fluid in it. Thank you for your help.
