  1. While turning on the fluorescent lights under the counter, all the gallery lights and back lighting on the switch panel went out. Appears to be a fuse, but checked the fuses. #2 is the Gallery Lights and light rope and the fuse was not blown and tested it with a meter and it shows current through the connection.

Is there a fuse I am not finding? I checked all the fuses in the box in the closet and all OK. Is it possibly in the switch? Any ideas or input would be appreciated.

    Thanks!!

  2. While turning on the undercounter light switch, it and the other lights went dark. This includes the kitchen rope light, the lights on the switch panel under the counter below the sink and the 2 florescent lights, one under the counter and another on the slide to the right of the stove. Aqua Hot works, but the switch light does not. Switch lights for Diesel Aqua Hot and Pump do work. Ceiling lights and Halogen lights work on that same switch panel do work.

I checked the fuse box and looks like #2 would be the one. The fuse was not blown, and I checked with a meter and there is current. Doesn't seem to be an easy fix.

Any ideas how to troubleshoot or figure this one out?

    Any input would be appreciated.

The only problem I had staying  3 nights at around 5 degrees was water pump would work intermittently. Water pump is in the same bay as the aqua hot but close to the bay door our thought was maybe it was freezing. What ever it was the problem went a way when we got into warmer weather.

Thanks for the input. Just increased my faith in Aqua Hot system. I have been underestimating it.

  4. I am heading south from northern Minnesota in the next few days. Recent cold snap puts me staying in 15 degree temperatures tonight and tomorrow night. Wondering if I need to drain the system.

My question is if there are any experiences out there regarding the effectiveness of Aqua Hot bay heating system. Does it provide heat to all compartments (storing liquids in one of them); will it be effective  at lower temperatures to make sure that all the pipes will be OK; the thermostat turns on a fan when turned completely turned to the right, is that the best setting to use; ??

I hesitate to drain the whole system for 2 nights of colder weather, but do know how critical this could be. Any insight would be helpful. Owners Manual suggests that all will be OK, but they were not too specific as to what conditions would be acceptable.

Thanks in advance for your expert guidance on the matter!!

  5. Thanks Rick, That was exactly the problem. It is snowing/raining and midnight here in MN and I went out and replaced the 50 to 30 adapter and all is good. No need to get up at 4am and run the generator to make some heat.
Guys like you are a real blessing to rookies like me. I will sleep a lot better tonight.
    Thanks!!  Ron S.

If you are using one or maybe two adapters to plug your 50 amp cord into a 20 am outlet, I would check to make sure power is coming through the adapters to both legs. You can use a voltmeter at the 50 amp side of the adapters to see if you have 120v on both sides.

Thanks Tom,  Great suggestion and such a quick response. In the rain and snow and at midnight here in MN, I switched out the old to a new adapter and everything is running as it should. Didn’t want to mess with voltmeter while wet and in standing in water so used a new adapter that I had on hand. Your quick and correct response is greatly appreciated. It would be hard to own one of these if it weren’t for guys like you.  Take care.  Ron S

  6. I plug into a 20 Amp outlet and the outlets, microwave, Aqua Hot and other things do not come on. The Kenwood tells me that only the AC Leg 2 electrical is on. AC Leg 1 is off. This is the same outlet that I have been using all along, never had this problem.

The coach was just in for service on the Aqua Hot and the house battery’s were switched off. Back on now, but that was the only change.

Am I missing something that needs to be done to energize Leg 1. Searching the Manual and finding no answers.

    Thanks for any ideas.
