  1. I removed one small wire on the big boy. Then wired the DC to DC charger direct to batteries. I still can see house battery voltage through the Aladin but not amperage from the DC to DC charger.
  2. Yours rear panel and big boy looks very familiar to my 2007 Imperial. Do you have an Aladin system kn your rig? The reason I ask is I like to use my Alladin to monitor charging while driving. Also my Victron DC/DC charger does not have good enough range to monitor status from my mobile device while I am driving.

I realize this is an old thread but my 2007 HR Imperial has the solar panel output wired to one of the leads going to the Aladin. It is wired so the Alladin displays solar panel output/input to the controller and house battery voltage/house battery charge output on the controller. Basically two separate readings on the Alladin. Mine also charges chassis batteries but it does not have a display or wiring to the Aladin.
  4. A couple thoughts on the headlight upgrade topic. First I did not mean to hijack this thread. I assumed it could be a source to discuss multiple solutions for what appears to be a common issue. If the moderators would like me to start a new thread that is fine by me. I suspect that in some cases Monaco and other coach builders may have not used quality OEM headlights and used aftermarket parts with suspect quality. I certainly avoid driving my coach at night unless it is a well lit highway/roadway. I cant imagine the original oem product was this bad but maybe I am just spoiled by modern LED vehicle lighting. I am somewhat hopeful that the ebay seller I shared in the thread has an above average product based on what I have found out so far. The fact this seller has units that "appear" to be LED projector design gives me hope as this certainly would have some advantages based on my experience with other vehicles. I am excited for the RV community because the seller is listing products available for a broad range of Monaco and other coaches that certainly need something better than the original equipment that came with their coach. I intend to dig a bit deeper with the seller and try to get better information about design and build quality and will share if I can get it. If anyone else has experience with this sellers product please share. Thanks in advance.
  5. Improvement on dim is what I am looking for but I am leary of LED unless it is a projector lens design and not simply an LED bulb put in a reflector style housing.
  6. Just to clarify. You bought the headlights from the ebay seller I shared? Are these units projector units as advertised? If so I assume the performance is better than OEM.
  7. Anyone here have any experience with this seller/products? https://www.ebay.com/str/xtremelights2003 The product in the attached is listed as a projector LED and they have units for many models.
  8. I called Source Engineering and talked to Jim. After sharing some photos of how my valved was plumbed he directed me to a place in MI that Jim said has the the valves. But after sharing part numbers of the valve none of the Hydraforce dealers could source a relacement. They indicated it was a propreitary valve made for Monaco and not an off the shelf unit. I could find the the same form factor (size and voltage) but there were various pressure and operating parameters that are unknown. So what I decided to do was remove the orginal valve from the valve body and install a plug so the fluid would flow as if the valve was open (normal cold operating condition) and the fan stopped running. I then installed a needle valve in series and was able to manually adjust the fan speed. So I ended up ordering a wax valve from Whitehouse and sourced a hose and fittings for the hydraulic lines. I intend to keep the needle valve in series so I can tweak the cold/idle speed and let the wax valve manage the high temp control.
  9. I assume I could convert the Cassapa controller over to a whitehouse products wax valve like people do with other controllers. If so would a 190 degree temp unit be the right temp range to get? Whitehouse part number - 553/1/09857/190
  10. Not sure if there is another thread but I searched for Casappa and did not find anything. So based on what I can tell my 2007 HR Imperial has the Casappa controller and runs at high speed at all times. I removed the solenoid and it appears to be in spec when I checked the resistance on the coil. I appear to be getting 12V to the coil when I start the rig but I am thinking the valve may be seized as I cannot move it at all when I remove the solenoid and this is why the fan speed is not changing even when 12 volts is applied to the coil. Can anyone tell me if I should be able to move the valve manually? Refer to attached photo with the solenoid removed.
  11. I recently bought a Holiday Rambler Imperial LE and the previous owner had removed the original sofa and replaced it with two recliners. It was stored in the basement of the unit and I would like to get rid of it as it is taking up space in my workshop. I would consider it in fair/used condition and it appears complete. No rips or tears and it looks like all the major components are there. I included a photo from another unit that shows what it would look like installed. I am located in the Chicago area but I will be traveling in the near future so I might be able to meet and or deliver part way if it worked out. $200 OBO
  12. I would say the price is right and since you got a chance to look at it in person I would start with a fluid analysis as that is your greatest risk IMO at this point. If it shows issues there is no reason to pay additional money for the rest of the coach inspection IMO. If it is good then, personally I would just verify the AC units, Aquahot, slides and move on based on what you have seen so far. Budget some money for stuff that will pop up regardless if you have it inspected or not. Also if you are going to buy it and replace the carpet with tile I would consider heated tile. If you want to upgrade the norco fridge consider the amish conversion as that would be a bit less involved over adding an entire new residential refrigerator.
  13. Any idea why folks feel like the ME-RC is inadaquate for Lithium house batteries?
