  1. I've posted on their forum plus sent a PM to I believe the owner but haven't got a response so I'm hoping one of the many people out there in the web world can figure out an answer to the problem.
  2. Yes the leak was at the stem of the valve. When I played with and jiggled it, I would hear it increase and decrease. I replaced the whole valve along with the electric switch since they're also commonly known to go bad at the same time. I bought a cheap one off of Amazon for like $18 but the switch ended up costing me $72 with shipping!
  3. I already checked, they can both be ran simultaneously without a problem but the BlueFire app will not pull over the information from the GPS unit.
  4. So you don't use or are not aware of the features in the attached picture?
  5. Do you use BlueFire? I'm pretty sure it allows tracking to save trips, also to coordinate speed and distance traveled. It may do a few other things also but I don't know since I can't use the feature?
  6. It should be a simple fix. The Amazon devices absolutely can use an external GPS unit perfectly fine to navigate and track since I can use it without any problem on Waze, Google Maps and my airplane navigation programs. I would think he would open up a whole another market since there are a lot of people that have Amazon tablets, and even if they don't, one can be bought for a lot less than an Apple iPad.
  7. Is anybody using a BlueFire adapter with a Fire Tablet? I don't understand why the app can't be integrated to use on a Fire Tablet with an external GPS adapter? I use numerous other applications, including Avare to fly a plane with, that will allow me to use an external GPS unit without any problems; so this app ought to be easily able to do the same? If the interface will allow the tablet to see a GPS signal I don't understand why their application can't pick it up also?
  8. Well I forgot one of my own basic principles in life about KISS! Turns out my parking brake valve was bad and that's where all my air was leaking from. Should have been checked first!
  9. Yes, after getting my camera and scanning the top of it that I couldn't see, It is for the brake system. I feel anybody else reading this will have an answer without finding out the hard way like I did. Again a great forum! Thank you!!
  10. They're both J1708 connectors with 4 wires into them but the one outside is only sending voltage information.
  11. I have a ScanGauge that works perfectly fine when plugged into my j1708 under the dash. When I try to use the j-1708 in the outside compartment underneath the driver seat all I receive is the battery voltage and no other information. Is this normal or do I have a back connection outside? This is on a 2005 Monaco Diplomat.
  12. I appreciate everybody's input but in my original posting I stated I do not want to go with a box extension or surface mount. I want to keep it flush and looking original.
  13. As I stated in the post I really don't want to use an extension or surface mount box and want to keep the look original, but thanks anyhow.
  14. Any suggestions on how to put a specialized outlet in since a shallow box isn't deep enough? The outlet is 1.5"deep, not taking into consideration the wires. I've attempted to use a specialized old work shallow box but it won't fit in the wall since there's a metal backing plate inside and a normal shallow box is only 1.25" deep. I know I can use a surface mount type box or extension but I want to keep it flush and looking original.

  16. For more of a camping situation I absolutely agree with putting the jacks down but when it's just parked somewhere like my driveway or for storage I don't like coming and seeing it's sitting that low.
  17. I don't like the fact that the front of my coach and steps are on just about on the ground after about 2 days!
  18. So you're fine with using a standard 1/4-in brass compression fitting?
  19. Do you use any standard quarter inch compression fitting or something special?
  20. I've not touched it since I don't know what type of fitting it is.
  21. Well that's all I found so far and I'm not sure about that fitting. Is it just a push pull style m
  22. I know this topic's pretty old but can somebody please look at my pictures and tell me if they think the leak that I have on this fitting is enough to draw down my system after about 2 days? Also what type of fitting is this, is it a push into connect and I can just push on the top to release it or is it something else?
  23. This was the glob that gave me the problem! I got it pulled up and wired into the junction box with the new solar panels so all is good now.
  24. I'm sorry to ask what might be a stupid question and hope I'm just missing a switch somewhere but shouldn't there be some type of interior lights when I open the door to my Diplomat? It's totally dark upon entry until you find a switch to turn on the overhead lights. I've read the owner's manual and can't find anything about it even looked at wiring diagrams and can't figure it out.
  25. Has anybody else ran into trying to remove the solar panel off of a Monaco Diplomat. I removed the four bolts that are attached to the angle brackets and the panel will not lift. When trying to look underneath, it appears that there is a junction box that is glued to the roof and I'm afraid the junction box may have been screwed down and then the panel glued to the panel box so I'm afraid to pry up on it. I want to get into that junction box wiring so I can add two additional 100 watt panels.
