  1. Alrighty. Thanks everyone. Looks like it’s time to start replacing things until I find the problem. Might as well run color appropriate Pex throughout.
  2. Good morning from Florida! So, I continue to struggle with low water pressure. This 1998 Monaco Dynasty Duke (no slide) is new to me. I went to replace the filters in the coach water filter system to find that there are no actual filters in the filter holder. I have a feeling that they cause the water pressure to drop lower. This military FAMCAMP has amazing water pressure as we are very close to the water tower. So, I have it regulated down to 45psi coming in. And yet, still have pressure issues. So, my next guess is that maybe it’s the check valve. I have cycled the city/tank water valve multiple times to loosen any debris, but still, low water pressure. I think I may need to replace the check valve. (I tried to attach a video, but it was too big.) If in your experience the high pressure drop to lower pressure over about 30 seconds means something to you, please let me know! Thank you so much for being an awesome community! Semper Fi, Lance
  3. Please forgive the newbie question. I’m knew to Diesel engines. I’m at a military FAMCAMP and will be for the next 6months. My first road trip will be for Thanksgiving. Between now and then, should I run the engine periodically? thanks!
  4. Thanks everyone! I’m such a noob sometimes. Turns out my water heater IS an electric also. The switch is on the how water heater accessed from outside. I checked the anode and it’s gtg. Did a flush and clean out and it was pretty clean. Looks like this has been serviced in the last year. All is working 5x5 now. Thanks for the help! Semper Fi, Lance
  5. Thanks Ivan! I traced those wires and decided that they were all part of the Concord system, so I cut them out. Easy day. Starlink installed. I’m going to try to find a permanent install by finding a female to female that I can mount on top and run to a plate inside the Coach and mount it where the Concord controller was installed. That way, I can completely take down the Starlink whenever I move and then quickly put it back up when I get to my new destination. I enjoy projects like this. Thanks for your input!
  6. Hey gang! I’m working on my 1998 Monaco Dynasty Duke (no slide). I’m mounting a Starlink on the roof. I took down an old antennae that provides a roof pass through to the interior of the coach. There are a bunch of wires running through the roof in this area and I would like to cut them out if I can. This will prevent me from having to cut a larger diameter hole needed to get the weird shaped Starlink cable through. Anyone know what these wires go to? I’m gonna start tracing them to see what they are powering, but if you know, it will save me some time. Here are pics of the old antennae, the hole and the wires in question. TYVM!!
  7. Good afternoon from Ft Walton Beach, Florida. I just purchased my 1998 Dynasty and think that my hot water heater is LP only. Am I correct in assuming that if the electric switch isn’t next to the LP switch, that it’s LP only? The owners manual says that the switch should be there, but it isn’t and it appears that it never has been. I’m interested in having both. Has anyone ever replaced their LP only system with a system that has both? If so, I would love to chat with you about it. Thank you!
  8. Do you have a part number for the bulbs at Walmart? Thank you!
  9. Holy Cow Cat Stephen! That was an amazing write up! Thank you so much! I have no doubt that I’ll be able to come up with a workable solution with these instructions! Thanks so much! Semper Fi, Lance
  10. Do these look right? Can I just buy these at a local auto shop or at a Freightliner? thanks!
  11. Thanks Bruce! I’m seeing the 120v models for about $1200 new. I’ll get one of those if I have to. But yeah, I’ll definitely be on the lookout. Thank you!
  12. Sorry guys, I worded my OP poorly. I’m knew to THIS rig and do not know it’s capabilities like real wood verses particle board and such. Previously, I had a 5th wheel and lived full time with 5 kids and a wife, but that was a few years ago. Now, two kids are grown and gone and so is the wife. So it’ll be me and (periodically) three kids. I did the laundromat shuffle enough to be done with it, so I have to figure out a more permanent solution. I’ll be full timing for at least a year, maybe more. I am grateful for your comments and am excited to be a part of this community! Semper Fidelis! Lance
  13. Has anyone tried to install one of these in their Monaco Dynasty? I should have my 1998 Monaco Dynasty mid week, this week. I need to install a washer and dryer. After all that I have read on the Splendide combo, and with my family size, I think I’m going to opt for a residential/apartment combo. Has anyone tried this? Anyone have tips or suggestions that before I start this endeavor? Obviously, I’m new to my rig but my kids and I are super excited to get it. No wife. I was taking applications but a beautiful woman from the Philippines dropped her resume by and passed the initial interviews, so we are moving on to the practical examinations. I have a feeling that I’ll be offering her the full time position! 😬 Thanks everyone!
