  1. I would think a simple  4 sided enclosure around the compressor with ceiling tile would diffuse the noise. Also mount on a rubber kneeling pad would help reduce transmission.   Another member on this site installed the compressor in a basement compartment and did some sound proofing that was very effective.

Dennis; A few members have removed the LP tank and went with the smaller portable tanks for LP.  You have to address the various uses you have for the LP from a point of what  regulators  are needed as you did when the tank was in place..    A great storage space for long items as well as  what ever you prefer.   AS they say, " I have ideas i have not even thought of yet"

  2. When mounting base plates to a vehicle, you may want to consider using Class 8 bolts, and castle nuts, and drilling a hole in the bolt to insert a cotter pin when assembled on the vehicle.  You can use a spacer for the frame thickness, and bench assemble, drill the hole for the cotter pin, then assemble on the toad.  Use stainless cotter pins. We did, and had no loosening or failures in 10 years full timing.

I have been a member since Bill D. stared the group many years ago. After a couple of years of doing the rally at Lazy Days it was discussed trying new location. There was a real nice RV resort at an Indian Casino in Arkansas or Louisiana I can't remember which.  Well considering we have a large number of members in Florida that didn't want to travel anywhere else the rally location has remained in Florida. When Bill D. was still alive we talked about making a trip back but never did. It is just too far to travel from Palm Springs to a three day event in Florida.

  4. Th e process of finding an area in the sidewall to install that is my primary concern. You will have to determine where the bracing is.   Depending on the age of your coach, you may be able to talk to someone at REV in Engineering and see if they can locate a drawing of your side wall. Or, if they had a drawing showing that location they would use, if that was an option on your coach.

I think the bracing is aluminum, so a devise for measuring density may not work. Below are 3  pictures of what we did in our 07 Executive back in 2006.

  5. WE had a special basement tray that had a 1500# capacity fully extended.  I helped a guy build this. It was great. and as full timers, you usually spend more time outside.  This unit was in our 07 Executive.  It completely utilized the basement compartment.

Attached are several photos.  The combination fridge/freezer was rated for 80# as a freezer. The grill had a quick disconnect to the coach LP.  Left side was all storage.  Tray was able to be locked in place every 8" as it was extended.   We ordered the coach without a curbside front slide. Always in the way and the basement access was so convenient.  More useful patio area too.

I replaced all my intake ducting with components from intakehoses.com. on a ISX 525 Cummins in our 07 Executive, AFTER the 5 year warranty.

I did a lot of research and  talked to a lot of knowledgeable people on the subject. That ducting causes air friction due to its construction and bends in it as used in our coaches.  Class 8 trucks do not use it. They ALL use rubber fittings and/or aluminum tubing, which i purchased from intakehoses.com. That is what i converted to, and i will tell you the difference in performance  was great. At that same time, i replaced my muffler with a straight thru resonator from dynaflexproducts.com. They are the largest MFG. of Class 8 truck exhaust components in the U S A.   I also replaced the OEM Air Cleaner with one from AFE, Advanced Flow Engineering out of Ca. The A C is not on their web site . You have to call them.  Overall performance  was great and fuel economy went up 1 MPG "cruising".   Bottom line; More CFM of air to engine, and NO back pressure in the Exhaust.  And NO negative effect on Turbo.  I did all of the above in 7-2011. The photo is of the Aladdin screen during one phase of traveling we did.

    I cruise at 60-62 MPH, 1350 RPM.
