BStone
2003 Monaco Knight air dump switch seems to activate leveler pump (we think) along with air valves. This doesn't seem right. The fuse panel says that the air dump circuit is 2 amp fuse but there is a 15 amp fuse installed. Pushed switch to lower coach and empty tanks but ended up tripping chassis battery breaker after about 30 seconds. Has anyone had any experience with this circuit? I'm used to air dump circuits only dumping air and not powering up another circuit.
Big Dave
Mine only dumps the air.

BStone
Bob, Yes. Seems to be very wrong. Will have to trace out the circuit and try to understand why...
BStone
Big Dave, I would expect simply dumping the air to be the extent of the circuit. In my case, the switch is defiantly powering the leveler circuit somehow. Sound is a little different when actually powering the levelers from the manual panel but localized the source to the hydraulic pump unit.
rvtips
On our 2003 Safari Sahara when I hit the button to start the from jack the air is dumped first,It has always been this way.

Is it activating the leveling pump but not opening any jack valves? That might help with troubleshooting - bob
BStone
Appears to be activating both. Tank pressure slowly decreases then the main battery breaker trips after about 30 seconds and still about 80 psi in tanks
