Light Switch/Dimmer

Any suggestions on why headlight dimmer switch when at near full glow causes the low water light to appear?  Headlights all work and dash lights all work when turned ct. clockwise.  Have used some contact cleaner and seemed to help some but still comes on when approaching full power to dash lights.

Have checked coolant level and everything seems okay at that end of it.  Have not cleaned sensor yet, but don't really believe that is the issue, but I suppose it still could be.  As long as the light switch is not on the low warning light doesn't come on?
