  1. Thanks to all for input.

1nolaguy, I'll be interested to hear any info you find. I'll cross the Furions off my list.

Howard, I've got a 13500 dometic in the bedroom. Kept it nice and cool til it stopped working.

Wondering if your 15k causes the unit to cycle on and off too frequently due to small room? I am looking to upgrade the 13500 in the living room to 15k since that unit struggles, but thought I'd keep a 13500 in the bedroom. Your thoughts?

I'll call Rec Pro and my installer about the furnace function(I only have one propane furnace ducted throughout, controlled by front thermostat.) as I want the front unit also and will report what I'm told.

  2. Looking at replacements for both units in our 2001 Dynasty.

Found units by Houghton on RecPro site, which have lower power draw, run at lower DB levels are less expensive and are run by a remote control. They do not tie into the furnace, so I'd leave that controlled by existing thermostat.

Anyone have knowledge or experience with these?

Someone also mentioned Furion as an option which I haven't checked out. Are those worth investigating?

    Thanks,

    Jerry

  3. Just went through this last week. Have an 01 Dynasty.

If yours is the same. Access is behind "accordian" panel.20220226_160326.thumb.jpg.df721bcaac20c228b915ed73c0b55abc.jpg pic is upside down sorry. Under sink you must remove floor, which just lifts out. Then note screws on the left panel. 4 must be removed. 20220226_160350.thumb.jpg.1160822889b091711909f18c050c5090.jpg Look in with a flashlight and you should see a small braided wire. Unhook it and the panel will roll open. Pipes are accessible from there.20220226_144543.thumb.jpg.815ab131f3e0f8fc1394ef93604b141c.jpg

Mine was broken right at top connector. Thought ok just reconnect. It will only be an inch shorter. My bad.

    Reconnect. Done.

Three times in and out with slide...leaking again. The 20 year old pipe cracked at the bend. Had to go back In and replace entire pipe along with both connections which broke while taking it apart.

  4. 2001 Monaco Dynasty w/Trace RV 2012 and RC7GS remote.

AGS stopped working. Won't auto start or stop. Between a tech and Zantrex prod support it is not repairable. Generator starts fine from all other switches.

Everything else works, inverting, charging, other monitors.

Am looking for an AGS system that I can have put in as I'd prefer to not replace the inverter until we add a Solar system in @ a year or so.

Any suggestions on what to buy, where and what to be aware of.

Thanks for any help as I'm an electronics dummy.

  5. Getting ready to leave, unplugged electricity and pushed button to reel the cord in.  Motor engaged, nothing happened but sounded like a stripped gear.

Found a link from 2012 on a blog with a solution.

I contacted the gentleman who said his son made a replacement gear in his machine shop and would ship to me for $75.

Got it, installed(the little gear was broken in half). Works perfect.

Alot better than $7-900 to buy a new one.

    If you need one call

That is your A/C compressor. See if you can tie wrap the belt secure so it is clear of pulleys until you can get a bolt. That is your tension adjustment for the belt.

Thanks. I'll take the belt off.

If it's the outside belt, pull it off for now.  I'd also get some PB Blaster and spray it on the adjuster.

I haven't used dash ac in 14 years would be afraid to even try it.

Is it ok to just take and leave it off. I do use dash heat and defrost occasionally.
