  1. Thanks for all the responses, it sure helps to get the info before you start troubleshooting. My Coach is at Josams right now but I will get on this when I get it back. I am pretty sure its in the Regulator or Mac valve as it does not appear to have any obvious breaks, tears or pinches. I tried it with the engine running and in Drive. Under normal operation it is inflated when in Drive and not inflated when in Neutral. You can tell pretty quick its working as it hard to close the door when it is inflated.

  2. Exhaust Manifold update, NOW I HAVE ROOM!!!!! There were so many leaks around the closet it pretty well ruined the carpet so decided to tear it out and rebuild it so there are no leaks. In the process I now have a lot more room, kind of like painting, good prep makes a better job.

  3. Thanks again for the advice and suggestions. In a former life I was a machinist/millwright/welder and I am all too familiar with the challenges of broken bolts. I will be very exacting before I attempt to remove the 2 broken ones. I definitely know the price you can pay by not paying attention and taking the time to do it properly the first time and once. The time spent making a jig and setting it up accurately is well worth it.

  4. I have 2 broken bolts and of course, they're the front 2 and hardest to get at. The manifold is not cracked anywhere that I can see. I will get everything cleaned down as good as I can get it then start the disassembly on Wednesday. Thanks again for all the responses, tips and suggestions. Much appreciated!!!!

  5.  I had a good look this morning, I had forgotten I had covered up the other inspection hatch with a rubber flooring in the closet. I had to remove the 2 closet door mirrors, the bottom rail the mirrors slide on and the carpeted facia board to get the hatch out. I can get at 10 of the bolts and the Turbo assembly without too much difficulty but the front 2 are a different story. Difficult but doable. The Manifold is a 3 piece set up. Scrap removing the Radiator, would only make the job marginally easier.

  6. Thanks for all the responses, much appreciated. I have all new bolts, seals and gaskets. I will be posting progress as I get at it. It was kind of funny in a way, I didn't even know I had a leak. I had an unrelated problem with my transmission and took it to Detroit Allison in Tampa to get it diagnosed. The Service Manager told me when he was walking up to the coach to diagnose the problem I had an Exhaust leak. I'm pretty sure it has been leaking for quite a while as the engine did not sound any different to me and I have had it since 2006. I looked at the video, the ISX 15 is definitely a different beast than the ISC.

  7. Good advice from JMO, will do. I am going to check my closet floor tomorrow for the second hatch cover. If I have one it is not obvious as I have had the coach since 2006 and never noticed another one. Mind you, I haven't had a reason to look really close up until now. Anything I have needed to check has been from the front hatch.

  8. Jim, what rig do you have? My engine access cover is forward of the closet and I would need to be really skinny and a contortionist to get at the front (towards the back of the motor home) portion of the manifold and Turbo from that. I will check out removing some of the closet floor to get at it. As I said earlier I have lots of time. Really appreciate the feed back!!!!

  9. I have all the parts I need. I will check again in the morning the closet area. Which is the easiest to gain access? Dismantle part of the closet or remove the radiator etc. It is really tight through the access cover inside the coach and very awkward to get. Removing the radiator is not the end of the world but does add complexity to the job but will enable a good clean and a good check of the cooling fan motors, cooling fluid lines and hydraulic lines etc.

  10. My Sig has the side mounted radiator and I am planning on taking it out so I can have good access to the Manifold. I have some (2) broken bolts to get at so need to make sure I have the room to get at them to drill them out if necessary, thoughts, suggestions? I would have to dismantle a good portion of my closet to get at the bulk of the manifold.

I have all the parts I need.

  11. I have an exhaust manifold leak on my 2003 Signature with a Cummins ISX 525 hp engine. I was going to have Cummins in Orlando do the repairs but after them having my coach for a month and still no defined window or schedule of when it would be done, ('we will get to it when a Tech is available but do not know when as we have less than half of the techs we need') and after contacting Cummins in Tampa and 2 other repair shops with zero response I have decided to do the repair myself. Before I get started on it I would appreciated any pointers from anyone who has done the same so I can avoid any unnecessary mistakes. I have the time and expertise but do not do this for a living so would appreciate any help and advice.

  12. On my 2003 Signature parts connected to the Aladdin system started failing, the rear camera, then the side view cameras, tank levels, monitor, joystick. As each system failed I replaced with independent systems. Finally I lost the Engine and Transmission monitoring function and power to the front Joystick. I installed the Bluefire System and a Fusion 10" Tablet that displays the Data I need in real time. I am not using anything connected to the Aladdin System anymore. I have not removed any of the components as I don't want to inadvertently screw something up. However, if someone needs some components of the system mine are available but would need some help and advice on removing them to make sure I am not stepping on my own toes and compromising something unknown to me. I will be at the gathering in February in Tampa.

  13. I had the same problem years ago on my 2003 Signature. I removed the window, stretched the vinyl or whatever it is back to remove all the humps, very carefully cut out the excess and glued it back down and replaced and sealed the window, again very carefully. I know where the cut is where I removed the excess but anyone else would have a hard time finding it. The vinyl has stayed in place since.

  14. I had the same problem on my 03 Signature, replaces the original plastic hose with a steel reinforced hose that is much more flexible. I had to modify the hose connections but it now a much better setup with no possibility of kinking the hose as it was originally. If you need more info you can give me a call at 863 602 4685
