  1. The original and reoccurring problem was when the black tank valve was opened to dump, it would flow about a gallon or two then "choke" up. The only way it would give up the rest of the content was to open the flush valve on the toilet. And with a mild explosion as air entered the tank it would dump as expected. (do not ask your wife to do this) Now that the check valve has been unwrapped it works great. Jim

I can't comment about the vent being on the bottom of commode as it was replaced with an upgraded unit some time ago. Jim

  2. Once again Ivan, thanks. Under the tape and plastic baggie was this check valve. I purchased the MH in December '17 and they may have had it covered for the winter and forgot to tell me about it. What I don't understand that the vents in both black and gray look factory. When the weather cools I'll make a better repair.

  3. OK, 2000 Monaco Signature Adm. still chasing venting problem for black tank. Started  today by inserting garden hose into each roof vent far enough to hit bottom of tank, no blockage. Turned water on to back fill from roof vent and could see water going into gray tank. Switch hose to other vent and water still going into gray tank. I thought one vent would have been for each tank. Previous owner had a washer dryer installed so I'm sure there was some plumbing modification going on. Attached are photos one of holding tanks showing three vent pipes, two for gray and one for black. I just don't know where the other end for the black vent pipe is. Do you see any thing in the laundry closet that might be the vent or causing a blockage? Thanks, Jim

  4. Thanks Moon! I'm sure your right even-tho I had (maybe not as good as I thought) ran a hose in the vent pipes last year and operation of the system seemed to be working okay. Mud Daubbers, Lord knows we have them and they can build nest in what seems like minutes. After looking at all the options, the vents have to be the problem. Fortunately it's a straight shot from the roof to the tanks. When the weather gets a bit warmer, I'll pull it outside and flush them again, thanks, Jim

  5. Thanks Bob, yes both tanks are vented through the roof and I have an easy view where they actually enter both tanks. Right now wind chill is 8 so I'll wait for a little warmer temp to re-inspect. Thought there might be a vacuum breaker in the wall behind the shower but would think both black and gray would have their own. Jim

  6. Okay, while draining black tank all will go well until it pulls a vacuum and the flow stops. If I go into the coach and flush the toilet it will dump out the black gate like crazy until empty. Next switching to the grey tank, same thing until I open the outside hand washing faucet then all flows well.  I have run a garden hose down the vent pipes to clear any possible obstructions and don't believe I have any (odd it would be in clogged in both tubes). Is there a vacuum valve I might be missing? I know there are some work-around solutions I can do but I would rather solve the problem.

  7. Hi Chad, for the first test run I just used Velcro and mounted it above the wiper blades about 8/9 inches above the dash. I will also be ordering two extra GPS mounting bases so I can switch camera between two other cars which I will use the hard wire kit that is available. Jim

  8. Hi Chad, I also am looking for a dash cam and yes this will be my first time. I have spent quite a few hours watching videos and comparing quality of several cameras. I found this video which was made December 2019 recommending three cams in Low and high price range. It's a bit long but gives excellent information. I found a good source of comparing camera quality has been watching you tube videos of bad drivers and noting usually the camera brand name is in the video at the bottom of the picture. $30 may or may not give you a cam you will be happy with and if you want GPS logging or other features you will have to up the price a bit. If you want, watch the video and pay attention to the VIFO A119 V3.  I don't own one yet but I think after looking at the video quality and features it will be the one I get. Jim  (skip the man scaping commercial at the beginning)

  9. Hi Ivan, always enjoy hearing from you as you have provided much needed information during my Signature learning curve.  The reason I went with the No Spill System was due to the low profile and construction of the device itself.  It has an internal drain valve and an outside cap to keep dirt out, not like the Fumoto cast fitting that is entirely exposed to road hazards. I had considered the side plug location but on page 4-7 of the ISM Operation and Maintenance Manual,  quote, "Do NOT use fittings other than the Cummins supplied fitting in the side drain location." But I know,"things can happen"
