If it is algae you will see it in the filtering system.  Back in 2009 I had a bout of algae, the top of my primary filter was almost plugged.

I would recommend treating with some sort of algaecide, I use Biobor but there are other.  I would have multiple sets of filters available as if you have algae you will go through filters.

I also agree with FASS system, I took Van's suggestion 2 years ago and installed a system.  This was after I found the lift pump on my 8.3 ISC leaking.

James i think that is a good chance some of his problem but the Fass pump system i dont think will help him on the ISM Engine as i think the fuel system is more like the later ISC Engines with the HP inj fuel system. Thanks James!

Walter, the fuel and filters could always be a suspect. There is also a shutdown valve so it can be bad too. It can not be mechanically externally operated unfortunately but you could check its outlet. There was a post recently that seemed related. It also has a pic of the fuel flow.

Thanks again Ivan for your help , i printed out the picture of fuel flow for my neighbor.

  3. Thank Ivan   The coach has been setting for a few months and the owner said he was getting ready for a trip and the coach started then cut off right away and would not start after many attempts . I think it may have that slime problem from the fuel tank but i didnt know about the fuel pump configuration and wanted to try and get info on the set up. Im not sure about the Wynn as i have not been to the coach.

any thing else you can think of.

Bill F passed a couple yrs ago and his wife wanted to sell the coach as it had been setting for about 5 yrs in a covered parking , Sharon ask for help in selling the coach and i knew my neighbor was looking because he tried to buy my coach, i gave him Sharon info he made a deal with her and bought a full set of batteries and 6 new tires and went to San Antonio TX and drove it back to Mississippi .

Bill F was a member of Al P old MCOA and later with Bill D when he started Monacoers

  4. I have a neighbor who bought Bill Fauber old coach a 99 exe with a ISM coach built in 98 and he is having problems with the fuel getting to the injection pump my question is what type fuel pump (pump from fuel tank to injector sys)does the ISM have, the ISC before 2002 or 3 had a fuel pump that came on for a couple minutes at start up then the injector pump took over. Im pretty sure the 98 ISM was HP injection system?

    thanks Walt

The 2012 to 2018 ford focus and fiesta both have a problem trans but there is a easy fix that will work extend the life of these trans, these trans are basically manual trans with a auto shifter and clutch dust gets in and on the worm gear and the little electric motor cant move it up and down. Look up this u tube name  12 to 18 ford focus slipping ? no reverse? no drive?   This can explain it better than i can. The tool to use for this is a (excuse the caps was a paste from e bay)For Ford benz DSG gearbox clutch motor electromechanical unit unlocking tool .

The fiesta also had a ground problem dont know about the focus but suspect it does also, there are 3 ground straps that the paint was not removed from and the ground was making through the threads and the ground will fail the fix is remove the paint and i used a dielectric past to get a better ground on my sister’s car also used the little tool (name above)to run the worm gear down while spray brake cleaner and wd40 the worm gear is spring loaded up dont get to rough with it. Real simple fix as most of these cars will have trouble before 10000 miles and most cases before that

hope this helps some of you guys that has this car, i think anyone could do this simple fix.

We decided to go 4 down after our tow dolly lost a wheel ( entire hub sheared off) why we were in mid-tow. New towable vehicles being priced extremely high and somewhat hard to come by, we though of going used. When going use there seems two routes, considering younger vehicles, say 2017-2020, and adding the cost of readying it for tow ($2-4K)  or buying one that is older (2010-2014) but already outfitted. The only place I have found listings are on IRV2.com and they seem to be old with tons of miles or ridiculously priced ($60K+). Do any of you have experience in buying used toads (good or bad) and does anyone know of a source other than IRV2?

Try rvtrader.com  and notice all the boxes you can fill out , use your zip code and in the drop down the distance from you , new or used box, and many other options, i have used this site to buy the last 4 new vehicles i have bought and trucked some of them in and beat the price i could buy at a dealer (Manheim ) auction in Mississippi low milage used . Car prices used and new is kinda crazy now. From your name it looks like you are from NO LA , i livrd for 30 + yrs in the Venice Boothville area. Let me know if i can assist.

  7. Bill run the rear wheels up on a couple 12x12 deplete the air in the system use a 1/4 or 10 mm open end wrench and small hammer (with a little WD40) to push the little rings in and remove the plastic tubing and replace if needed with DOT tubing at NAPA. It is a simple fix no reason most could not do the repair.

Thanks Bob. I've experienced that situation once before, and the battery voltage was a little low this time too; right around 12.0V. After a day of solar charging yesterday the furnace worked fine all night, and is still working this morning, with 12.23V. But if battery voltage is the cause, it would be nice if it would continue to work at a little lower SOC.

And I REALLY don't think the blower should continue to run if the burner fails to ignite.

    Jim

Jim my furnace will do the same if it fails to ignite and that is normal and I’m sure you are aware that your battery is considered dead at 12 volts and you are really close at 12.3

  9. d/or bearing play that would allow for misalignment of the pulley.  I saved this to PDF and attached.

When I change my belt I will check the tensioner for any play.  While the engine is running I'll observe to make sure the belt is running smoothly, not bouncing etc.

Im with james although he did not say this, i think the In our RV maintance That we tend to over do it and spend cash that that’s is unnecessary.
