  1. I had a similar problem where compressor would try to start but condenser fan was sluggish . Its motor was stiff. This caused the circuit breaker that feeds both compressor and  condenser motor to trip. the circuit breaker would reset itself and try again to start both. Replaced condenser fan and all was well. Bought fan at NAPA.

The clutch on compressor will have a very small amount of resistance. probably less than 10 ohms.

  2. I used Coach Net to tow my 40ft Diplomat 45 miles to a repair center. The guy did a great job. He towed it from the front, removed the drive shaft, the mud flap, and the tow receiver . He attached a box with tail lights , turn signals and brake lights to the ladder. He asked us to follow him and call if we saw any problems. When we got to the repair center he backed the coach into a parking spot and restored everything back to normal in about 15 minutes.

  3. The first thing I would do is change the thermostat , water pump and radiator cap. Mine came with a 7lb cap.

I had problems with the warning light coming on while going up hills even though the temp gauge was only about 205 degrees. Turns out there are 2 water temperature sensors , one for the gauge on dash and one for the ecm. Replaced the one for the ecm and no more problems.

  4. On my trip from Atlanta to Lazydays I lost the cover om my front air conditioner. I checked all my manuals but could not  find any info on brand or model. It is original and low profile. Does anybody know the brand and model ? Need to replace before going home.  am on 239 in campground. I know Chris of Talin would know off the top of his head.

    Thanks

  5. On the 2000 Dip the slideout switch is in the cabinet on the passenger side where the inverter readouts are.

The 2000 Dip manual is practically worthless. I have over 103,500 miles on my coach and it has a Sheppard M80 stearing box with little or no play in steering.I would not spend the money for a TRW box if i don't have play. If you do have an M80 there is NO TRW replacement.

  6. I have had a leak from the lift pump before and it never caused a problem about starting. I tightened the 3 bolts to keep the leak from making a mess. The lift pump only runs for about 30 seconds. Try turning ignition on and listening if pump is running. You can hear it in the back. After 30 seconds turn off switch and then back on again.after doing this for 3 or 4 times try starting engine. If you have changed filters make sure they are not leaking as this will cause your problem. Starting the engine about once a month is a good idea.

  7. When I cracked a seal on my m80 I was towed to a shop in Duncan, SC. There is no TRW replacement for an M80. They had to use a torch on the bolts to get them out. This is a 2000 Dip. They had it rebuilt and reinstalled it. There is a written procedure somewhere on Monacoers blog on how to do a trw replacement for an M90 or M100.

    Good luck

  8. I had a situation once where the condenser fan was running slow and would stop. It would draw too much current that it tripped a 20 amp self setting circuit breaker. This also caused the compresser to stop as they are on the same circuit breaker. Replaced the fan which fixed the problem. Expansion valve being clogged can also cause your problem. If properly charged and everything is working right Then you should get a 20 degree drop at the center vent with a/c on max and blower on high.Get a temp gauge with a probe and measure at center vent, this is your ambient temp.Start engine, turn a/c on max, turn blower on high. Temp will drop 20 degrees in a few minutes.
