  1. Hi Ray, thank you for your explanation, it sounds like it was certainly worth the effort, we'll look into this morning. Regards, Neil
  2. The original owner must have left the drivers side window open and it rained, we have a stain on the lined fabric curtain, I'm interested to know if these curtains can be cleaned or if there is a new replacement available?
  3. Did you install direct replacements or upgrade to LED?
  4. Hi Steven, we need to replace the couch in our Beaver and can't exceed 70", how long is yours?
  5. I've been searching specifically for a used Cruiserlift motorcycle carrier for my RV since my coach already has the mount welded on. I seems quite common that people trade in or sell a coach with this lift, and the new owner not having a motorcycle would like to sell the lift. However, I'm having a lot of trouble locating one, and was wondering if anyone out there may know there might be one available? Thanks.
  6. Your couch looks great, Steven, I need to replace mine too and only have 68" of space, I wanted the air or foam mattress and was seeing prices around $2600 for Flexsteel, and didn't know what to do since they dropped out of the RV market. Are you happy with the Lambright now that you've had it apart and re-assembled and are using it?
  7. Tom, thank you for your reply, I'll visit Harbor Freight ASAP! Richard, what an interesting life you've had! We bought our coach in Apopka, FL just before Christmas last year, picked it up mid-Jan., then spent from then until May 1st at the Fisherman's Cove RV Resort and Marina in Tavares. We loved it there, made many friends, and with the quarterly rate it worked out to $25 a night for new double-wide 50-65'L concrete sites with full hook ups. We're heading back there right after Thanksgiving, flying back home for 2 weeks at Christmas, then returning for the rest of the winter until May 1. Maybe next summer when you're up north we can connect. Thanks again for your advice today.
  8. Thanks Richard, you're not far away from me, We're just outside of Oswego, NY, and we're headed up to the Thousand Islands for the week. We've been to Letchworth, it's a beautiful park in a beautiful area! Looking at your "handle", did you work at Kodak? Tom, thank you for your reply, I'll visit Harbor Freight ASAP!
  9. Hi folks, just wanted to say thanks for your input, the vice grips were the answer. Finally got the fuel drained out, new o-ring installed, filter & bowl refilled, and no leaks. It was my first time with this one, but I'll be learning with every situation I encounter! Thanks again, Neil
  10. I've clamped the supply line but when I try to drain the bowl the level in the bowl is not going down, is that because it continues flowing in from the filter above? Maybe I'm just not draining enough.
  11. Thanks Richard, I can't find a model number plate on my Aquahot unit or in the manual, however above the name on the front is a yellow round sticker "05E-015" if that might be it. My fuel strainer is high on the wall right adjacent to the Aquahot unit. I'll clamp the supply hose and try to drain the bowl. I need a new seal on the clear plastic drain plug, do you know if the o-ring needs to be a specific material?
  12. HELP! I have a significant drip from the drain plug on the fuel strainer for the Aquahot, I attempted to slightly tighten the drain plug and that caused an increase, I backed it off and slowed it but can't stop it. The manual tells how to drain the strainer to replace the filter, but no where does it mention a shutoff for the supply line. When I attempt to drain the bowl using the drain port new fuel just keeps coming in. Can anyone tell me how to stop the supply of fuel so I can remove the main slot head plug to replace the o-ring? I'm heading out on a trip tomorrow and I need to fix this ASAP. Thanks.
  13. Thank you to everyone that replied with advice, this gives me a lot to go on which is a big help. The knowledge in this group is amazing!
  14. Hi, I have an '05 Beaver Patriot 40'w/tag and need to replace my shocks. I've read comments of great service from Source Engineering for shocks so I called and spoke with Jim who told me that they build custom-tuned Bilstein's for my coach, price $169 ea. plus shipping. Reading your note where you describe replacing your shocks with Bilstein #24-186605 & #24-186612 I saw them on Amazon for $96 & $94 ea. It sounds like your were standard Bilstein's rather than custom tuned, is it your opinion that the standard shocks are going to do the job just as well? Thanks for your thoughts on this. Neil L.
  15. Thanks for this, Paul, that's a great looking installation on the slide out!
  16. Great ideas, I did pull the table out, no luck, but the salvage yards I hadn't thought of......thanks!
  17. Thanks for the advice! Great suggestion, thanks!
  18. I'm looking for some info that might help us replace the table leaf that was missing from our coach, we didn't notice this until a few weeks after purchase. From several years back I thought I remembered reading that everything about the design and build of your coach could be traced through the vin#, is it possible to track the corian color through historical data? Any ideas? Thanks!
  19. Hi Joe, thanks for the info, more than fabric I need to replace the entire assembly, the original 2005 framework design is terrible, I can't even open or close the window awnings without climbing a stepladder. I have one where the center strap is wound up internally with the fabric and I can't open it at all!
  20. Thanks David, I did order a pair of these, haven't received them yet, but your input helped a lot!
