  1. David my multi meter does not read micro farads so I just took the start capacitor out of my rear unit and put it in the front unit but no luck, still don't have hot or cold air just the fan on all speeds. Also put the front Capacitor which I though was bad in the rear unit and it worked perfectly. So its not the start capacitor. Did not see any visible signs of Freon leak either. Scotty not my luck to find a severed wire all of mine are in tack. Will do more troubleshooting tomorrow but if anyone else has any suggestions I have open ears. Thanks everyone.
  2. Scotty, last night heat pump quit blowing hot air and today AC did not blow cold, fans working in all speeds. I have the same Duo-Therms as you. I will get on the roof tomorrow and start troubleshooting but would love to see the file that you referenced in your post. I can not find it anywhere would you be so kind as to guide me in the right direction. Before you changed the start capacitor did you check it meter or was there visible damage that made you think it was your problem. Thanks in advance, Mike ( from Grand Oaks)
  3. Hello everyone and thank you for all the information. The red hose had to come off first in order to remove everything else ( had to cut it and make a new one and it had to be installed last), it was never spliced as I have owned the coach from day 1 ( I ordered it straight from the factory as I had a lot of the interior changed) so it was installed like that from the factory. Once I cut the red hose everything was quick and easy. Again a big thank you to everyone who took the time to post, it was all very helpful.
  4. Thanks everyone, Rick A it seems the circled nut is part of the bypass valve and doesn’t turn independently. I may be wrong and will try again holding the valve with vice grips. The red line on the far right looks like the head was installed on the valve before the line do I can’t turn it. And yes the T is leaking where it screws into the HWH that’s why the project
  5. Has anyone had to change the plastic T in the picture. If so how did you do it, I can’t quite figure it out.
  6. And another recommendation for Stone Vos, just had my awning and toppers done and the material is far superior to Care Free. Customer service is beyond top notch.
  7. Looking for recommendations for a tow shield. New vehicle base plate is a quick connect while old one was not. All Roadmaster components old tow bar and connects had the cross bar and I used the Guardian that mounted to it. Looking at either the Roadmaster 4750 Tow Defender or the Protect a Tow MH9854. If anyone is using either of these I would appreciate your feedback. Thanks all, Mike
  8. Thank you everyone for the great information, I have contacted Hendersons about the draglink.
  9. Richard once again you are a wealth of knowledge and a huge help. Did Josams need your old link to order the new one or are there part numbers on it somewhere. How long did it take you to get it once you ordered it. Thank you for all your help.
  10. Me again, steering gear box replaced and up and running again, mechanic showed me that there was a little play in the drag link and suggested it be replaced when we get home. Any ideas on where to locate the drag link. I am researching now but know I can count on everyone here to chime in if they have had to replace theirs. Once again thank you to everyone for helping out. Mike
  11. Hi Richard, it looks like its the seal at the gear box and its leaking pretty bad. Mobile mechanic confirmed so trying to find a gear box. Also thanks for the suggestion for Hitching Post, Jay took care of me for my new truck. They did a great job and went above and beyond to get the work done. As soon as they were finished we headed up to Virginia for my brother in laws funeral, about 1/2 mile before where we are staying the seal blew out so Im stuck here until fixed.
  12. In reference to my last post. Thought it was the return hose to the pump that was bad but NO its the gear box, any help with locating this part. I read a post from last month where Weller Trucking was mentioned. How would I go about getting a part number for the (old) new box. I am continuing doing research but wanted to reach out here for help also. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer, Mike
  13. I just read the Steering Box topic from last month but have a few questions, my box is leaking fluid from the seal and needs to be replaced. Thought it was my power steering return line that is the reason for the last post. I know Weller Trucking was mentioned but is there anyone else who I can call to get the box. My big question is what do I ask for as far as part number or how to find the replacement. Any help would be appreciated, stuck in Virginia and not happy. As always thank you all for any help, Mike
