On our new to us 02 Windsor 40PST it has a raised platform slide on the right side, well currently it has nothing on it. It probably came with a custom designed J Lounge of some type? I’m assuming that J Lounge had ducts running under it and out thru the front, supply and maybe a return? So what do some of you have if not the original sofa? I don’t think just any sofa will work there because you will sit up too high and your feet won’t reach the floor. We plan on putting a fireplace credenza in that slide and put the tv on top but not sure. Let’s see some of your pictures and challenges if you put another sofa on it. We have a love seat recliner on the drivers side slide which is smaller than I like.

I disconnected mine 15 years ago.
Never used it before that. Even
You have no more DC than most.
Compared to my other mh I have more. Not a big deal I just have to train someone else more. Those must of been a big problem for everyone that’s for sure.

Thanks everyone I’ll see what I end up doing about that. It’s a big coach with a lot of 12V accessories, it’s easy to leave something on. It’s not on my short list yet.

Yes!! That’s why it only has the one post, they just took it a step further. So what is it that it fails regularly? I really would like to have that switch operable because I’m so use to having one?

PO? Previous Owner Yes! I assume so. That’s what you need to do to bypass the disconnect switch I assume. I don’t know though there is only 1 post.

Nope, it is the solenoid directly below that one and it's labeled Battery Cut-Off Relay.
Frankly I would strongly suggest that you bypass the damn thing as they are a high failure item. SO if you replace it chances are that one will fail also some day. Many people including myself have bypassed the relay and we no longer have to worry about losing 12 VDC power to many of the house devices at the worst possible inconvenient time.
You sure did, sorry I had forgotten or got distracted with other posts I guess. 👍 Looking closer at that photo above it appears that there is a purple wire taped off to the side, that might be for the disconnect switch?

Ok thanks guys. I’m home today down with back actually been pushing it too much the last week. So it may have been bypassed already and that’s why it doesn’t work?

I can’t answer your question, but is it missing or damaged?

Don't you have a manual?
Electric schematic
How did the repairs get done before ???
If it failed before
I don’t know if it failed before because I’ve only owned about two weeks now. I’m going thru some things that aren’t working. I do have a manual with the schematic that’s where I took the pic in the first post.

Engine compartment, not the rear electric bay?

So you guys are not wanting a House Disconnect switch at all? I like them especially on this knew coach, the wife will inevitably leave something on!
Why do they fail so often?
-
I know I remember that happening but didn’t want to mention that here🥴when I was looking at Windsor’s I was surprised how many still had those in them. I wanted the floor plan that would allow the removal and replacement of the POS 1200. The rig I purchase already had it done but they didn't finish the job correctly. Didn’t insulate and block off the wall vent access panel or the roof vent and didn’t plug it into the inverter. Glad I’ve been thru this and knew what to look for.

Well that’s where I thought it might be without having looked for it yet. He says in the front left bay?

Perfect thanks that’s the other place I was going to look. I hear nothing when I turn it on or off. In my other coach it was a distinct clunk.

I replaced mine on my last MH a National Dolphin. I actually removed the furnace relocated it in location of the bottom drawer in the kitchen. Yes I had to cut a hole in the side of the motorhome! It finished out nice and was the best upgrade I’ve done. Dr4film might remember me from irv2 forum. I tell people today the same thing he told me get rid of that POS! 😁

Trying to find the solenoid location for the House Disconnect switch? I haven’t gone to the coach yet to look but I’m thinking it’s in the right rear access door area? The switch itself inside the door is good but it is not turning the 12v house power off. It’s not the same as the Battery Isolator in this pic is it?

RESOLVED THE ABOVE POST

Having a constant 12v going to the map light above drivers seat. I think the headlight switch turns that on, when you twist it and the entry door remote turns it on for a few seconds when unlocking the door. It seems without verifying that it’s wired switching the neg at this light at least with one of the inputs maybe from the door. It was working fine. I did work on the passenger side map light for a bulb socket issue I had. It’s much simpler and straight fwd. I’ll post pic today.

Oh yeah I’m already changing out all the lights to LED’s I did that on the other mh and installed a 100w panel to maintain the batteries which does a great job, next came the refrigerator. So kinda doing the same thing here except for the frig, other than they didn’t complete the install properly. Learning all the new systems.
