Hi! I’m bringing a ‘96 Crown Royale Signature back from the dead. (And, right now, I don’t think it wants to live!) My question is about the quality of the ride. When I go over bridges or hit the dreaded pot hole, sometimes it feels like my teeth could be rattled out of my head! I have 4 year old air bags and new shocks. I thought it would ride like an old Ford LTD! Perhaps my expectations were to high! Please let me know what your ride is like and/or if you have ideas for me to improve my ride quality. Thanks!!

The vent was design for refrigs that burn LP, from my understanding. I have run my residential refrigerator for 5 months with the vent closed as shown in the picture. No problems. Since there is no fuel being burned, there’s no need for the vent while using a residential refrigerator. And, with the vent closed, easier to heat/cool and fewer bugs!

Hi! I have a ‘new to me’ coach as well and had the same issue. I used a foam insulation board and caulk to seal out air and bugs! Here’s a pic:

I have an old Oran 10HDKAG generator. I need to have the Rotor/Stator replaced, then have someone do a complete review to make sure it’s ready to go again. Does anyone have a recommendation for a generator Mechanic in the Jacksonville, FL area?

Hi! I ran into a new problem in my ‘96 Crown Royale. When I was maneuvering in a campground in very close quarters, my transmission oil temp when up to over 300 degrees. I had to change campsites later in the week and I could see the temp raising again. Temps are good under normal driving conditions. Please share any ideas! Thanks!

My Onan 10HDKAG Series A 10k generator won’t shut down at the switch. I have replaced the fuel solenoid. It appears this solenoid needs to push forward to shut the unit down. But, the solenoid appears to only be made to pull in at start up then hold in a neutral position. It never moves forward to stop the genny. I have to do this by hand. also, I reviewed the parts manual and I am supposed to have a Rod End Clip on the arm of the solenoid. I can’t figure out what this clip would do, but that could be my missing link! Does anyone have a picture of what a properly connect fuel solenoid should look like? I have attached a picture of mine. Am I missing some parts to make it stop? Thanks!! Joe

Hi All - I have an exhaust fan in the engine bay of my 1996 Crown Royale Signature. I replaced the fan but the wire going to the fan doesn’t seem to have power. Does anyone know if there is a power switch for this fan? I expected the wire to be energized when I started the coach, but no luck yet. Any help or ideas are appreciated! Joe

Hi All - I’m new to the group and appreciate the help I have gotten from reading the forum! I have a ‘96 Crown Royale. My Kubota Oran generator is having trouble starting. At start up, the DC Control Breaker changes from the ‘On’ setting to the ‘Off’ position. So, the genny won’t start. If I hold the breaker in the ‘ON’ position, the genny will start and operate under a full load. any ideas how to correct this? Thanks! Joe
