  1. I’m pretty sure I’ve found the problem, should have though of this earlier I have a 30 ‘ extension cord I made up and it’s smaller wire then what’s on the coach. I Backed the coach up as far as I could and hooked it straight to the pedestal and the watch dog ran both ac units and most of the lights all day with no problems, so I surmises that the wire size difference wouldn’t care the full load of the 50 Amps. We will learn this Motorhome Ownership, thanks to all who have helped.
  2. Well here’s a new twist to the problem, I moved the Watchdog to the next site and when the front ac came on it shut the power off with another E8 error. The explanation on my phone says I don’t have a neutral in my RV.
  3. I didn’t take it in a bad way was just trying to explain my situation. Thanks for all the help it is truly appreciated.
  4. I didn’t say I couldn’t test it, I’m just not an electrician by trade. I did test the plug in and I believe the ground is bad on the pedestal I have an extension I can use to plug into the site next to me. I’ll see how that goes and contact the Camp Host. We are on Cumberland Lake at a Core of Army Engineers Camp Ground.
  5. My Power Watchdog 50A shut my power off during the night, the code say E8 says the Neutral is missing in my Motorhome. I’m not an electrician by trade, can anyone help with this matter it’s on a 2001 Monaco Dynasty Jack. Thanks in advance.
  6. Has anyone repaired or replaced the reading lights on the driver and passenger seats. This is on a 01 Monaco Dynasty Jack.
  7. Welcome to my world, mines a 2001 Dynasty Jack 38 and the guy I bought it from wasn’t forthright in all that was going on with it. This site is a life saver.
  8. I believe it’s on the house batteries it’s the hall light and it’s a 15 amp circuit, I’ll keep a watch on it if it causes a problem I’ll run a # 12 wire from the front fuse box there are a couple of empty ones on the bottom row. Thanks for all the good advice it will not go unnoticed.
  9. I called M & M the unit is obsolete, but then can take your old one and build it. Might be could for future info. I also found the Alumaguard Tractioners for the roller both mine are gone. That will help with it rolling up. Thanks for all your help.
  10. Thanks. I will. I found a 13.4 hot wire and wired the controller to it and it takes 28 seconds to roll up. I realized after looking at the manual you sent the roller is missing the AlumaguardTractioner on both ends that’s why it stops at the guard and won’t roll up all the way. Sure is a lot to learn on these coach’s
  11. For the sake of my own mine, I unhooked the motor completely from the controller and again and hooked my 12.3 volt jumper pack directly to the wires on the motor it took 24 seconds for it to completely roll up.
  12. I rechecked the power at the awing motor when extended and starting to come in, I have 9.4 going to the motor. And when the Awing is at the stoping point of being extended I have 10.25 volts. And the hot wire of the controller has 12.4 when not in use.
  13. Yes I followed Jim’s lead and drilled that connected out and hardwired the awning and that didn’t make any difference . I’m going to try and fine some dry silicone spray tomorrow and spray the joints and slides
  14. I will try that latter and report back what I fine.
  15. Well I hooked my battery pack to the control module hot wire and ground and it still will not come in with out help. Would that mean the module is bad in some way?
  16. So the good or bad or the ugly the guy I got it from was having trouble with it and he has cut and spliced wires in the upper cabinet where the awning wires and module is located. He has spliced the awning wire in to the radio, front fans, front window screens circuit. Looking for the original source for the module now. 😭🥲🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
  17. So I hooked my jumper pack to the fittings on the Awing unhooked it from the control module and it rolled up in 23 seconds. I them hooked it all back up and tested the voltage on the motor while trying to retract it. It only reads between 8.4 and 8.7 volts. looking to see why the power drops so much now. Thanks for the info.
  18. Think you so much this will be very helpful whe I start on it in the morning. I’m going to use my jumper pack to run the motor and see how it rolls in.
  19. I’ve been looking for an online manual and can’t come up with one. I guess it’s to old.
  20. I didn’t know that. It’s a carefree one touch Awing on my 01 Monaco Dynasty I looked on line but couldn’t come up with anything. I may try to call them Monday and see what they think. Thanks for the info.
  21. Tomorrow I’m going to put 12V directly to the motor through the case and see how that works if it’s slow that way I’ll take it apart and see if there’s a number on it. Thanks for helping.
  22. I hardwired mine today and it didn’t make any difference in the speed of retracting. I guess I have a weak motor. Mine is a carefree one touch the number on the arm is. SP 1026-M
  23. I also took mine a part and the metal connectors were rusty I cleaned them up and put it back with some electric grease put it didn’t help. I will try your route and see what happens. Thanks.
