I found this work pretty well for my bedroom sconces. Still plastic, but seems to be holding up. I've seen them in both gold or black finish push button.
Thanks, Bill!

I just found the problem. My meter wasn't set right, I do have power to the light...the pushbutton switch on the light is bad.
Ours is starting to do the exact same thing on our LaPalma. It’s now at the point where wiggling the switch gets it to turn on, after pushing it. The trick is now to find a new switch, preferably one that isn’t made of plastic.

Merry Christmas to everyone! This board and its members are an invaluable source of information, to help keep our rigs beautiful and in perfect running condition. Here in Idaho, President Washington’s eggnog has been made and is awaiting merriment and toasting tomorrow evening, for our annual Christmas party. If any members happen to be near Nampa, drop by and have a cup or two!

AZ Expert, on YouTube, just posted a video where he built a slide out tray to hold his tool chest on his 2001 Beaver Patriot Thunder:

This is why, when I replaced the old RCA RT-DVD1 tuner/cd/dvd/amp head unit, I decided to do my research ad nausea, so the original speakers and subwoofer would still work, and I was fortunate enough to find that RCA made a newer head unit that not only was compatible, but also has Bluetooth as well as HDMI inputs, which works well, since Dish no longer uses RG outputs. The down side is that it’s just a tuner/amp head unit, so I had to connect a separate BluRay player, but that’s no big deal, plus the new RCA head unit weighs 1/5th that of the old RT-DVD1 unit.

Martin, keep an eye on that TV mount, as you drive to Florida...they're great for homes, but I wonder how the road vibration will affect its strength/integrity. I went a bit different route than you and flipped some of the original framework around, in order to bring it further forward, and mounted our TV to that. While it is fixed and doesn't swivel out at all, it is stout and has withstood multiple trips with no issues. Have fun in Florida, we'll be there in January to visit family, but we're flying.

I've been cruising the Kwikee Step string and found this one. My steps originally locked in the closed position (thank God). I removed the pin in order to make the steps swing-out freely. Then I started to diagnose. Took the motor out and it works fine. I tested the switch and I've got power. I suspect it might be the control board. My question is, how do I determine what model steps and what controller I might need? So much reading here leads me to believe there are many models and most of the videos on the Youtubes say that "most" of these take the same motor and controller. But how do we know? I've got a one-step job like the one in the picture above.
Is there a way to positively identify which model step, etc.?
Thanks.

Your best bet is to call Lippert and give them all the numbers from your controller and motor, and they’ll tell you what you need. This is what I did, when I replaced my controller and motor last year, they were incredibly helpful.

They would appear in provocative snd revealing clothing from time to time and then some yahoo would disappear with one of them into the confines of the Truck.
Never figured it out….as I was not worldly. MAYHAPS …..said DP was used for such?
One thing for sure….it sure be ugly…
Even the mobile cathouse in "Smokey and the Bandit" looked nicer than this POS.

This is so interesting. I've been working off-on in my Dad's auto sales business for years. I've never heard the word Monroney before. We always called it the Window Sticker. We didn't call it Retail Price, since that is the price the vehicle sold for - just "sticker price". I'll remember this for the future. I do have such a document, but the original paper one glued to the window, but a PDF, that I'm not sure if is a scan/photo or original. I never examined it. I only reviewed it to see what options/changes to the standard equipment was on the coach.
Thanks for enlightening me.

Yeah, no worries. If you're interested, here's the link to the origin of the Monroney: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monroney_sticker

Both my Monroney (the MSRP, as Paul wrote Monaco calls it) and my Data Card (as written on the sheet by Monaco, but Build Sheet as I call it) were in my plastic folder box. Here are the scanned sheets. I blacked out the key codes, for obvious reasons.

The fact that it's a "Deseil" makes it worth $15K 🤣
Makes you wonder what the paint looked like, before that knucklehead created this abomination. A new good basic paint job is going to be at least $40K

When I contacted Monaco about the build sheet, what they sent me was the Monroney sheet (window sticker). It wasn't until I started searching the entire coach that I found the plastic folder box that had absolutely every piece of paperwork in it, including the build sheet...it was under one of the dinette seats, next to the subwoofer. That build sheet is worth its weight in gold, as it gives you every single model # and serial # of the options installed in your coach. I was able to get a deadbolt key cut for our main door, as the key codes for all the keys were on the build sheet. A lifesaver indeed.

Out of curiosity, are you running a small space heater at all? I ask because we do and, if Brooke or I forget to turn it off when she’s blow drying her hair, the GFI will trip every time.

My fluid is topped off and still takes a bit to retract, before the light goes out. If I’m too impatient and put it in gear, the alarm goes off.

Hydro dipping is an excellent idea, and make sure they spray a few coats of clear over it, to protect it. That is, unless technology has progressed to the point where the end result lasts longer than it used to.

Those stupid clips have a bad habit of breaking….one breaks and it gets a bit loose, two break and you’re losing the hubcap. I just had to replace our driver’s side hubcap for that very reason.

I received the results from the oil analysis, came back normal. Had minor levels of Lead and zinc but about the same as my last sample which was ~2 years ago.
So I guess I dodged a bullet.
I do plan to go ahead and do a filter change.
That's great news! Filter change can't hurt a thing. Since the analysis came back clean, you're keeping the fluid and just changing the filter, yes?

Trailer owners looking down on coach owners??? LMAO
Supporting the hoses near the cooler is important, but there does need to be some flexibility as well.
The important thing is not to have a lot of weight hanging on the port.
I am pleased to hear that Derale stepped up with a replacement though.
Is the cooler itself mounted on rubber isolators? That is always a good idea as well. They’re a different breed for sure. Going to the rallies really made me start hating owning ours. The final nail was Brooke who said she felt like we were living in a coffin. Sold it to some folks from Louisiana who followed Jimmy Buffet around.

Speaking from experience, I would tell you that the length of time it takes, and the amount of money you get in the end, aren’t worth the headaches of a lawsuit. When the 87-year-old man rear-ended me in my Z06 and totaled it, I ended up having surgery on my shoulder to repair it… The lawsuit took three years to settle. In the end, I got the maximum legal amount in Idaho, $100,000, and when all was said and done, and everyone got their slice of the pie, I ended up with $32,000. It wasn’t worth the headache and the aggravation of opposing counsel digging into every facet of my life and military health records, in my opinion.

Thanks everyone,
As far as the accident, we were headed north on Hwy 95 about 40 mil out of Hawthorne, where we were stopping for the night.
Was driving along and saw 3 semis in a row. The last one came over into our lane to pass the other two. I moved over has fast as I could, hit the gravel and as the truck was going by us the edge pavement must have caught the jeep and we veered out of control and hit the trailer axles head on. It spun us around and snapped the hitch so the jeep came around and stuck the passenger side as well.
2 trucks left, the one that hit us went 1/2 mile and couldn’t go any further as we broke his axles from the frame. Jerk (I’m being nice) never got out of his truck to even see if we were alive.
I’ve noticed over the last several years that there are quite a few truck drivers who have no business possessing a CDL I’ve been in that exact same situation as you were two different times and both scared the living fecal matter right out of me, one forced me to pull over and contemplate life for several minutes.

Are you hellbent on a DP? I know they beat the gassers on torque, but we absolutely love our Workhorse chassis and, with the ECM/TCM mods we did to it, we're at about 400hp & 535lb/ft. When we're not towing, we get about 7MPG average, and that's going up the hills of Idaho and Oregon.

Our LaPalma 38PST has a private bath, if you close both sliding doors, but you still have to walk through it to get to the bedroom. It does have a separate toilet, so maybe Private Toilet? It has sofa and sink on slides and it does have triple slides.
