We had the exact same problem with our coach last year, and it came down to needing a reverse polarity harness, which Lippert does sell. In our case the steps would go in when the door was open and they would extend when the door was closed.

I bought ours at Auto Zone, last year, when we were going to Vegas and broke down. I don’t recall the brand (it’s in the center consul of our Jeep, which our daughter is driving right now), but I recall it was about $120 and worked great.

That coach looks great! Hope you have resolved the starting issue as it looks ready to enjoy!
Dan and everyone else, thank you for the kind words. It’s a relief for my OCD, knowing that the coach is no longer boogered up. I’m really loving the factory ladder and how sturdy it is…I’ve climbed up and down it a few times today., solid as a rock.
I’m 100% sure the problem was the loose starter wire. I’ve started it everyday and it fires right up. My next project is to install a second battery, since it was an option. If any gasser owners have that option and can take a pic of where the second battery is supposed to be, I’d be grateful. -

I suggest that you put some blue tape on firmly then drill the holes - you'll get a crisper hole edge that way.
Way ahead of you, I learned that lesson the hard way.

Hi Frederic, that is a great improvement, looking good !!
Thanks, Martin. Sorry I wasn’t able to message you back. Our daughter’s Tiguan had to go in the shop, and we had to bring the Jeep over to her, until her car’s out of the shop.

Yep - me too. Perfect fit - went in better than original as well. The installation tools really make it easy.
Now what to do with the other 29 nuts and tools that I'll likely never use. I know, first world problems...
It didn't have anything but the holes, when we bought the coach, so I rigged up the plastic license plate nuts in the back, but the rattling must have knocked one loose. I added some LokTite Blue, just to make sure nothing comes apart. When we get the coach back, I'll do the front plate, which will require drilling, because I don't remember holes being there, when we bought it. What I find funny is that the workers at Monaco couldn't even drill the holes evenly...my right side is a bit lower than the left one.

No I haven't, are they a known problem like these original tanks? Since it's an 8.1 there is probably plastic replacements readily available unlike these
I haven’t heard of any problems, but I’m not a real big fan of plastic components in a high heat area.

James (AZ Expert) on YouTube has a 2001 Beaver Patriot Thunder, and he recently did a video on replacing the tank on his Cat C-12, although I don’t know if it’s what you need:

Another question to go along with that is, do we need the special tool to first install the jacknut before attaching the license plate and bolts.
Probably. I just bought the kit from Amazon, and it includes the tool: https://a.co/d/6axmw9u

Went to Ace Hardware today and found an old-timer that knew his stuff.
I showed him my pix and he knew it was a jacknut - they don't have them but Amazon does.
Question now is what size.
Vince, thanks for posting this question, and thank you to everyone who responded. I noticed, when I dropped our coach off at the paint shop, that one of the bolts from the rear license plate was gone. When we bought the coach, it had the same holes as yours, but nothing in those holes, so I used the Auto Zone plastic license plate nuts on the backside and screwed the plate to them, but the vibrations of the road must have loosened the one to the point that we lost it. Now I know what the correct fasteners are called.
So, as you wrote, what size to get...

I don't want to say from whom I got mine, because I don't want it viewed as sour grapes, retribution, yada yada. I'm truly not upset about it, I just find it genuinely curious that it happened.

To those writing that you need to add a bit of silicone, in order to keep them in place, you're 100% correct. Quite a few of the replacement covers I ordered fell off, after being installed for only four months. When I installed them, they were nice and tight. Maybe the material shrank?

What makes perfect sense?
That our coach’s tire label would match Michelin’s chart.

It’s because your fronts are single and your rears are dual therefore the fronts are each carrying more weight than each rear tire
Everyone’s rig is like that, look at Brian’s tag again, his is pretty much opposite of ours, 90 up front and 100 in rear; ours is 100 up front and 95 in rear. Why would Brian need more air in his duals than his singles?

I’ll just buy all new relays, they’re cheap enough.

I just purchased two (2) Blue Sea 6006 units and will replace them, when the coach gets home from the body shop.
The painter is laying the Gold color down today and tomorrow Charcoal Metallic goes on; Clear coat goes on Monday. A few days after that they color sand and polish; we should get the coach back on the 21st.

A picture of the existing one and mounting location would help.
It's located in the curb-side bay, just in front of the entrance door. The 12v fuse panel is right below it.
Here's the link to Veurink's, from where I bought it: https://shop.findmyrvparts.com/cut-off-switch-p/190447t.htm

Kevin Caudill on YouTube recommends the ScanGauge 3. Not only does it scan our engines, it also functions as an auxiliary gauge pod and has other functions.
