  1. 2004 Cheetah..... windshield broke, but that's for later.

I've read the manual p212 etc can't see what type of slides I have, for sure the manual says don't scratch the floor.

Just had a new floor put in...... pics later....... tile was removed but am assuming some was left under the couch and the cabinets etc.

My question is, I see how to lube up the gear rack, but how does one get to the rollers, presume there are some.  The drivers side front slide does step down when it it is extended.

  2. Thanks Folks, Tom,

Agreed more data would be helpful.

The issue arose the day before the coach went to have the tiles replaced with a new floor.  I was hoping someone might have a sim experience.  When I get it back I'll look to see what is where.  I wont show pics of the new floor since I doubt I will have all of the pertinent data ;-))).  Kidding.

  3. Sorry if there is another tag somewhere.

A couple of points.  During the summer the engine started fine. I noted a slight rise in rpm then it would settle.  Now it's cold [freezing] engine had not been started in 6 weeks. Started up straight away then after a few seconds almost stalled, righted itself and then carried on as in the past.  Thoughts?

There is a 110 v cable in the rear for ?  I thought engine heater.  Today I noted the cable was HOT and a fan was running somewhere, behind the radiator.  Any idea what / why? Obviously not a heater probe stuck in the engine.

Hope everyone has a safe New Year. Les

  4. While having the front end looked at I went in the pit with the tech and looked at the panel which had moved.

Quite the revelation, there were hinges at the top of it [not readily seen from a straight on view] and brackets at the bottom to keep it closed [which had come loose]. Nothing to see underneath so I will presume for now there is a tank in there and perhaps the way into the tank for repairs is via this panel.  Remove the brackets and lift up.   Noting in print to suggest such. ;-))).  One learns.......... I'll know in a few days when I get under the beast.

  5. I know Tom posted something about front end bushing etc , but the 'lists' don't seem to conform to 'dates'........  anyway, thanks for the help.

I called Source spoke to Jim......... my he is no PR guy 🤣.......... however, he told me.  I BUILT THOSE COACHES and they have 1 million mile bushings in them and were not the problem........ as a customer on both ends, what do I know.   Source had a 'front end replacement 2004-2015'.   I suggest that.  NO, you just need the bags etc.  I'm confused, they work just fine, it's the clonk on braking etc which concerns me.......... sure would like the complete front end $2500.  So I have given my rv guy the source number and will leave those guys to sort it out.

I need to have my drag link and steering shaft replaced because of knocking in steering column when going over bumps. The shop has diagnosed the problem. They do not have the spec's for allignment.

    Thanks....

  7. << it is a real white knuckle drive at times. I live on a dirt road and I can move the wheel several inches in either direction without changing direction while driving 15-20mph.>>.  I also have a constant need to correct by a considerable amount, in high winds the steering wheel can be turned 90 degrees to keep the unit straight.

I'm taking it back to a front end guy on Monday since he gave it the all clear a few months back.
