  1. I am not sure. The tech just said it need replaced. I did find someone to rebuild it but that takes weeks and I need one like yesterday of course!
  2. Hello. Well apparently our hydraulic motor has died. The new one from Lippert is around $1300 but I ran across this place that says they have the same motor for $395. Yea I am skeptical but found it on another forum and several people say they have used it successfully but curious about using it on the Monaco since this motor powers two large slides and the jacks. Open to any experience or thoughts from all the experts here! Thanks
  3. I searched old posts but never found an answer. Our toilet has suddenly stopped flushing- everything appears normal- green light, fills with water and you can even hear the motor run like it trying to flush but it like the valve or whatever never opens. I tried the emergency override method in the manual holding a button for 6 seconds and same behavior. Any ideas? Thanks
  4. So did you have to purchase a new BIRD or what part fixed it? Another update- we used the RV as I stated, once we arrived we had to pull the second relay to make the dash stop beeping but everything else seemed to function as usual. Except I used the central vac and it would not shut off until I flipped the breaker for it. Oh, and the step cover got stuck closed- stopped at has station and the switch just wouldn't work. Kept playing with it and about 20 minutes later it started functioning on its own. Then, we got home, pulled into drive and viola- the key shut the engine off! So, it has to be a short of something small. We still have our Apil 1 service appt but was hoping to resolve on our own prior to that because they cannot guarantee how long it will take to fix and we have plans every weekend and need it! Thanks to everyone who chimed in with suggestions- they were all very helpful and I learned a lot through this process and will post back with final findings.
  5. Sometimes it will shut off when battery turned off. Sometimes we have to pull the third relay on the top row to shut it off. Just depends. No shore power. We are dry camping.
  6. So interesting things happening. We are using the RV today and found a. Few more things happening. The slides wouldn’t work, like no power even though it had power. Waited a few minutes and then suddenly started working. Same with the step cover- wouldn’t go back in but then we just waited and kept pushing the button and then suddenly started working again. So def something electrical. Also, now turning off the chassis battery isn’t killing the engine. My appt is not until April 1 - so just wanted to to post this in case something else comes to mind from your experts. I am thinking it might be the BIRD or the Big Boy- wondering if I go buy new ones and replace and try that at all? Thanks
  7. Yes I am going to try test that again later today. Thank you!
  8. I will try that but need to say that even with what I did yesterday once I turn on the chassis batteries the dash starts dinging without the key so it’s getting power from somewhere it shouldn’t I think.
  9. Reconnected one and still same issue, Unhooked that one and connected the other one and still same issue. However, when the last one was disconnected, the gauges did not reset they only reset when disconnecting the second to last one- not sure if that matters.
  10. I did this, and the gauges seem to act as normal. When batteries off and no other power source there is no voltage to the big boy
  11. No, once the chassis batteries are on, the dash starts beeping and lighting up as if the key were in and ignition in ON position. no work of any kind has been done to it at all. It has literally set on its pad waiting to be used again. thats why this is so strange so suddenly stat out of th blue.
  12. Once the house batteries are turned on the dash automatically comes on without the key, even being in the coach. Also, that behavior doesn’t shut off until the house. Batteries are disconnected so it’s something on the house side. I’m just not sure how to figure it out, we’ve changed all the relays that we can see all the fuses all the easy stuff.
  13. Did that and there is power from the battery wire and the ignition wire at all times. Even when the ignition switch is unplugged. So thinking it the wiring harness or something besides the actual ignition piece where the key goes right?
  14. Ok, that makes sense on the F17- sorry you had to dumb it down for me. I feel like I am on info overload here as the days go by! The relay that shuts down the engine is the third from the left on the top row. The gauges did reset when that was done as well- in fact, that is the only way to reset them. I am not smart enough to know how to fully test the ignition wires since they are not individual and feed into a plastic harness. CAn you help me know how to test the ignition wires and then the ignition itself? Google isn't helpful with these RV ignitions that I could find anyway. Everyone here is so helpful and I appreciate you all!
