  1. Good to know! I am taking it to the glass shop that was recommended by Holland Motor Home and Bus Co. where I have been having my coach serviced.
  2. So I searched through some of the posts, but didn't feel satisfied with the answers I found. I was out in my barn working and took a break. While I was sitting I noticed something different looking with the windshield seal on the drivers side and went to take a closer look. Seems like the seal at the upper corner and down approximately 12-16 inches has pulled away over the winter. I did go inside, and there was a small amount of water on the dash and a few droplets hanging on the overhead area, so I'm pretty sure the seal has breached. My question is, does this mean I need to have the windshield pulled and replaced/reset? It seems to me that it does. The windshield has had a few 'dings' repaired in it already, but I'm hesitant about replacing based on some of the posts I've read. Not sure if trying to reseal the original glass is an option or not? I've included some pics. Thanks for all replies/suggestions.
  3. Jacwjames, thanks for the reply. Your are absolutely right, pictures will help explain/visualize. The coach is stored at the moment, but if the weather continues to hold I'll have it out and opened up to where I can get some good pics. I'll post them then.
  4. Timaz996, I don't see any sort of 'arms' associated with my galley slide. There are the locking systems on the exterior sides of the slide, but those are not what you are talking about. There are four rollers that can be seen attached to the frame of the coach that the slide rolls on. Can you be more specific on the 'arms'? Are those visible under the slide behind the water seal? Thx.
  5. Sorry, I thought I explained it better than I actually did. This issue is only apparent when the slide is extended/open. All works and seems fine otherwise, it's just something that I had noticed. From about 18 inches down from the leading top corner, and then across the top of the slide for about 2 foot or so, there is a gap that increases as you move toward the corner to a point where at the corner, there is about a 2 inch gap. The shop foreman and his tech thought there was a 'warp' in the floor so that when the slide gets to full extension, that top corner just doesn't seat off. The Dewald slide locks all work fine also, but are not involved in this situation. I was hoping somebody that had seen/corrected the same issue might chime in since the foreman said he'd seen it before. Might be a Monaco build issue. As an addition to this, and possibly a clue. The previous owner (not the original owner) only had it a couple of years. I found when cleaning/inspecting the coach for the first time, two home made looking tubular shaped things roughly 30 inches long, that I have since determined were made to fill this very gap. This must have been an issue from some time ago.
  6. Greetings from a Monacoers newbie here! I've been RVing for some time and owned many different rigs. I'm a first time Class A owner now for a couple of years, and all has gone pretty well. I have run across an issue that I had not first recognized. The large galley slide that is on the drivers side of the coach directly behind the drivers seat does not seat/seal completely at the very top. This seems to be more pronounced at the front corner than at the rear corner. The slide operates just fine and there is no leakage, or issues apparent when retracted. I took it in for some work to my local motorhome shop here in west michigan, and asked them to look at that while they had it. They told me that they had checked and tried to adjust the rollers, but in the end, they felt the real issue was a 'warped slide floor'. The shop foreman and I looked at what they saw and I guess I can see what they were pointing out. I'm not totally convinced though. I have spent some time parusing the forum looking for similar threads, but haven't stumbled across any that address the same issue. Anyone out there with some first-hand experience with this? The shop foreman told me he had seen this before on another Monaco. Thanks in advance for any input.
