Tom Cherry Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 CALIFORNIA MH OWNERS, assuming that your MH's are REGISTERED in California.....NEED TO READ THIS... This is the REVISED TOPIC on California CATB Testing for Motorhomes. The original one had a lot of pertinent information.....and the original link that started the discussion is below.. https://ww2.arb.ca.gov/news/carb-unveils-smog-check-trucks-enforcement-event-port-los-angeles Later on, after more research, it APPEARS that the testing will be MANDATORY.....UNLESS and this is IMPORTANT....California Registered MH Owners APPLY for an EXEMPTION. The details are posted below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7QKCDmCjfo https://air.arb.ca.gov/edvr https://ww2.arb.ca.gov/sites/default/files/truckstop/azregs/edvr.html The original topic had the potential to be expanded and it discussed some of the perceived irrationality and agenda driven intents of regulations. There were some lively discussions and facts....but that started to decline and the topic deteriorated and got political as well as some members publicly blasting others and posting public requests for disciplinary action. In lieu of making a "judgement" call on each member and sending out personal notifications of the potential for violating the Site's rules, ..... as there were about 15 different members.... the decision was made to remove the original thread and replace it with this one to provide the needed information to California members. As Goose quipped in the Original Maverick, "The list is long and distinguished". LOL... Therefore, just remember the rules and follow and conduct the discussions with them in mind. In addition, to prevent this post from being an extension or a follow-up, this topic is locked. However, if there are updates that the California members need or if the information proves incorrect, please PM me or use the following (this is the link from clicking on SUPPORT at the top) https://www.monacoers.org/support/ On the LEFT side, there is a NEW REQUEST tab; use it and we will revise, if appropriate, this topic as needed. Thanks for understanding..... 2
