    David,

I don't doubt that your 93 Dynasty doesn't have the sense wire.  This just points out the value and challenges of this group.  The value is that we have a wide range of experience in the group to cover the wide range of units.  We are covering about 30 years of time and a broad range of models that have much different prices ranges.  The units also have many different options and accessories.  Thus, when making a somewhat broad statement as I did, there are always some exceptions.  I did give a age range outside of your unit by several years.  I am not familiar with coaches that go back to the era of your coach, so I try not discuss anything earlier than 2000.  The original poster had a 2002 Windsor which had the dual charging system installed at the factory.  Others were giving their experience with coaches that had a much different charging arrangement.  I was just trying to say, to the OP you don't need to look for some of the parts others were suggesting because his was different. Also many coaches have had modifications after leaving the factory so it's nearly impossible to state exactly what's on an individual coach.

All input is good from everyone.

Well said 👍 because (No 2 Coaches are the same)

  2. When winterizing my coach for Wisconsin winter weather I have never "blown out with air" or used RV antifreeze.... (other than 2 cups full in the washer and a cup full in each of the 3 P-Traps).

After completely GRAVITY DRAINING everything in the fresh water system I pour 2 cups full of RV antifreeze into the drum of the Splendide Combo and run it through a rinse cycle.

William “Bill” Warren Groves, Jr. 70, of Pass Christian, MS passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at his home in Pass Christian.
Bill was born in Adams, Massachusetts, January 24, 1951 to William Warren Groves, Sr and Barbara Groves Chapman. After Bill’s father passed away, his mother remarried, and the family moved to Pass Christian in 1965.
Bill graduated from Pass Christian High School, already interested in electronics, which led him to Mississippi State University. Bill gained a degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation he went to work for Square D Company in Metairie, LA. Bill met Chuck Ramsey and soon went to work with him at Bay Technical Associates in Bay St. Louis. In a few years Bill formed his own electronics business, GTEK, Inc. in Bay St. Louis, where he developed the “multi-port serial card” used in many personal and enterprise computer systems. GTEK was a family owned business.
While at Mississippi State University, Hugh Castles, Bill’s fraternity brother, introduced Bill to his sister, Peggy Castles, of Starkville, MS. Bill and Peggy were married three years later. They had four children, Barbara Marie Groves, William “Billy” Warren Groves III, Joseph Robert Groves, and Michael Carson Groves.
Bill’s thriving company allowed him to pursue his other interests and passions. In the mid 80’s Bill started taking flying lessons and eventually purchased his own plane, allowing him to take his family from coast to coast. He also loved boating as he and his brother, Kevin, purchased a Grand Banks which the family used for outings to Cat and Ship Islands. After many years the Grand Banks and the plane were sold and new adventures began for Bill, Peggy and the family. From the sky to the sea to the land, it was now time for family camping.
Over the years, Bill and Peggy had developed a love for traveling across this country. In 2005 Hurricane Katrina caused Bill & Peggy to retire. A motor home was purchased the year prior in which they took their first extended trip to Montana for a family reunion. For seven years the miles added up, and the 1st motor home was replaced by the present model, the Monaco Dynasty, in which Bill and Peggy made “home”. Due to COVID-19 issues, travel has been extremely limited, only going back and forth to Bill’s hometown in Adams, MA.
Through his RV’ing, Bill became exceptionally knowledgeable in how the Monaco motor coach worked electrically and electronically. This knowledge was passed on to other Monaco RV owners. Bill was a member of the Elks Lodge in Adams, MA, Family Motor Coach Association, Monacoers RV Club, Monaco International, Magnolia Ramblers, Dogwood Chapter, and the Northeast Pacers.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Sr. and Barbara Groves Chapman and son William “Billy” Warren III.
He is survived by his wife Peggy of 47 years, and three children, Barbara, Joey, and Michael. One brother, John Kevin Groves (Cindy), five grandchildren Bailey Groves(20), Gavin Groves(15), Mina Groves(12), Felix Digges (12) and Blu Zaretsky (14). He is also survived by his loyal four footed companions Cinderella, Zippy, and most of all, Mini.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis at 12 noon. The family will receive guests from 10:30 am to 12 noon. Interment will be at Bellevue Cemetery in Adams, MA in the spring.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, masks and social distancing will be required.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society or the charity of their choice.
Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.

The AC units are open to fresh air on the roof.  Small particles could find there way into the ducts.  There is no filter on the incoming on mine.  There are only filters on the AC intakes.

Or, it could be the plenum degrading...all depends on what you are actually seeing...dead decomposed leaves?

If it's that bad, you could vaccuum out the plenum via the outlets, take the covers off the AC units and clean them.  The AC condenser likely is full of dirt and would love to be cleaned out as well.  I powerwashed mine (very carefully).  I closed off the intake plenum opening and went to town.  Now spanky clean.

RV roof a/c units don't draw any OUTSIDE AIR into the coach.

The Room Air Blower draws in ONLY INSIDE AIR and blows out recirculated/cooled INSIDE AIR, (as seen in this illustration)

Both Centramatics  and Balance Masters are lifetime ... I've had the same Centramatics, (front and rear), since 2001.

They're currently on the 3rd set of tires.

Reading the forums sometimes makes me really paranoid of what’s going to break next on the coach.    In the 15 years I’ve had it, we have had very few problems really.   Never had to be towed or anything like that.   I try to do lots of preventative maintenance, but there’s stuff like the 3 AC’s, I have never had to touch.   8 of my airbags are original, and I’m still on my second set of tires.   Even the Aqua-hot has been fairly problem free, those sticky check valves do need to be tapped from time to time.

I received one of those good sams flyers about their service plan a few weeks ago, and got a quote for the fun of it.   With $100 deductible, they wanted $40000.   I wasn’t clear if that was for one year or what.   I could get a nice used coach for parts every 2-3 years at that rate.

My coach has never been to a dealer for service, hopefully I can keep it that way.

Do any of you get this paranoia?

My motorhome was broken into when I was out of town and my father checked it out as someone told me the door was open. Instead of calling me about the door release he forced it closed and bent the mechanism. He called me afterwards and told me it was hard to close but assured me the door was securely shut. Thanks Dad.

If you're dissatisfied/disappointed with your father's help I suggest you "check out" your own motorhome next time.

Don't plan on a hidden jbox as that is not the way they wire stuff. All plugs in the kitchen have a safety plug for use by water. My bathroom has it but it also controls the basement plug. The kitchen has one that controls three plugs. My panels have them for the combined ice maker / washer dryer circuit. The bedroom has one in the panel because there is an outdoor plug in the engine compartment for the engine heater or auxiliary outdoor use. You haven't talked about those issues. They have a test button and a reset button and they can fail.

    Tim

Those "safety plugs" are known as GFCI RECEPTACLES... (aka: Ground-Fault Circuit Interrupter OUTLETS).

I'm having the same issues with ABC and CW East.  I talked to DirecTV technical support (TS) and was told Congress did not renew the Stellar law allowing them to broadcast the DNS channels.  TS said it COULD be renewed soon, BUT no promises.  He did say Customer Loyalty may give a prorated bill if it doesn't fix soon.  He also said the other channels (NBC, CBS, etc.) could go as well.

I too have been considering going to Dish.

I have a Splendide WD1024 washer dryer that has developed a door seal leak. Splendide says the door seal is no longer available. I was successful at patching it once but the repair didn't last due to the leak's location on the seal - too much flexing in that area.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and did you find a seal elsewhere? Has anyone else replaced their Splendide washer dryer and with what? Does anyone have a replacement washer (dryer not needed) they want to get rid of?

Last night I had a program set to record on east coast ABC at 7 pm but it was changed to record at 10 pm on my west coast local channel. I looked at the guide and 396 east coast ABC was not there and there was on channel 390 Info a banner showing Important Information. This morning I looked at the guide and channel 396 appeared again but the 390 Info was still there. Now I never received a notice that the DNS channels were being taken away but I am beginning to wonder. Anyone else with DirecTV DNS experience this?

What "Important information" was in the banner on channel 390?

just had the front tires balanced again but No change

    Any ideas?

I suggest that you have the steering &  suspension components inspected and have a wheel alignment done.

Thank you all for the suggestions! We ended up staying in Crystal River and, believe it or not, we saw the rocket as it made its way north along the coast! Very cool to see it!

    Jim

I couldn't watch the launch in person 😞...... but on TV in Wisconsin it looked like the rocket  went straight UP. 🙂
