  1. birdshill123 - yes it does & that is a good place to look next! Otherwise I plan to remove either the radio & or the monitor itself. If monitor is defective then It has to come off to size for a replacement too. Waiting for better weather for this next phase of exploring.

    Thanks!

  2. 96 EVO - OK, I will check out those areas as well. I contacted the monitor manufacturer (Jensen) & talked with a tech. They are not sure a power reboot will have any effect with my issue? W/o an actual power cutoff switch, they suggest tracing back from the monitor wiring harness approx. 3' to a power connection point. Nothing in my forward electrical box where the majority of the 12v fuses (approximately 60?) indicates a monitor fuse. The manufacture states their monitors are usually fused in-line & since my monitor does have power it may not be seperately fused in my fuse panel?

Thanks for all of the suggestions!

  3. 96 EVO - YEP! DUH....it is a DP, but I thought he was referring to a Diplomat. :>)

I just got back from my RV storage area after looking again for the data port, to which some have said was near the left drivers's side. I confirmed my Scepter has two such data ports, in my outside electrical compartment but no actual rocker power switch to which you referred. I pulled, tested, & reinstalled several fuses related to the Aladdin, but due to approaching rain, did not yet find a fuse for the Voyage monitor itself.

  4. birdshill123 - Yeah, not sure what it is called, but my 2007 GMC 2500HD diesel has one! Regardless what it is called, nothing is visible on or near the floor on the drivers side? Perhaps located higher &/or under the dash or inside the console? Still looking every chance I get.

    Thanks!

  5. 96 EVO - we keep our RV off-site, so I went there today & looked for the switch - found nothing. Is your switch location in the outside compartment on the drivers side? If so, I only looked inside the RV, as I originally had envisioned based upon the suggestion. Today I also found my radio located just below my Aladdin screen would not power up? Thinking back, a couple of months ago, I pulled my radio for some reason & have never had a reason to check it out since. Perhaps when I did that I could have caused a wiring issue for either device? Finding the switch would be nice - just to know I have one & to avoid having to disconnect all batteries too just to remove the power from the monitor to see if I can get it to reboot!

    Thanks!

  6. Bob - not sure where a reset button may be located? I'm pretty familiar with this coach over 6 years & don't recall such a switch? I may be forced to just disconnect from behind the dash of to disconnect the ground from my batteries? Does anyone have a photo of such a reset switch? If so, that would sure help!

    Thanks!

  7. 96 EVO - well RATS! So have you done anything for a direct replacement? While I usually don't use my Aladdin to monitor my cameras I use it mostly for watching engine stats & tracking my sections of mileage between fills. Do you know a way for a possible reboot?

    Thanks!

  8. Guys - Not sure if I have a suitable monitor to use as a suitable test unit, but I will look. My Aladdin monitor is only used for Aladdin features (radio is a seperate device & screen) and all Aladdin screens have the same duplication issues.

    Thanks!

  9. Upon starting up my coach to exercise the engine, my Aladdin Jr. display is showing double or triple images. Never had this happen before on any of my past coaches. Powering off & on, does not correct the screen. Batteries fully charged. Same type of display with enginf running or not. I can’t find anything in the Menu or manual addressing such a problem? I would think using my two 12v cut-off switches would be the same as, in effect, as re-booting, but obviously not sure.

Kindly please advise & thanks for your suggestions!

  10. Upon turning on my power switches & starting my 07 HR Scepter & powering up my aladdin system my screen is now showing double images in all settings including the individual camera screens. I have never had this issue & not sure how to resolve, if possible? I would think powering off via my two power switches would in effect be like rebooting but perhaps not? Looking fior advice as to how to reboot, or proceed?

    Thanks in advance!

  11. So what is the 855 Cummins engine (ISC/ISL/ISF/K/NT 855 Cummins engines} as referenced above? The service bulletin also makes reference to a CM2150 ISL engine (The ISC and ISL CM2150 engines have a higher coolant flow requirement due to the addition of EGR cooling, and ONLY thermostat, Part Number 4936026, can be used by the field as a replacement thermostat in ISC and ISL CM2150 engines.)? Bottom line, will this part be an acceptable replacement on my 2007 HR w/a 400 ISL engine? My engine seems to run hotter than expected so anything I can do to get better cooling would be a plus for me!

Bart, you do realize that your Scepter like my Camelot has a different rear differential ratio that the same year Dynasty.  So, unless you are comparing a Scepter/Camelot to another, the information will look incorrect.

For example.  A 2008 Dynasty with the same ISL that you and I have will shift from 5 to 6 around 57 MPH.  Mine shifts on a medium throttle acceleration around 61/62 MPH.  If I set my cruise to 62 and stay on level ground, I usually pull 1500 or so (memory) RPM.

In addition, the upshift is the same regardless of the mode,,,,normal (performance) or economy.  But, if I leave it in the economy mode, the downshift back to 5 is based on a lower speed….I have seen mine drop down to 57 and not downshift.  If I have disengaged the cruise, I can baby or soft pedal the accelerator and keep it from downshifting to 5 and then gradually get it back to 62, the set point,  but, if I hit resume, it downshifts and accelerates faster.

If anyone answers your question, you need to ask them for the rear end ratio.  That is in their Sales Brochure as well as yours….I checked….we both have 4.30:1 and the Dynasty is a 4.68:1…

The gearing lower (as in it takes more engine revs) per mile for the Dynasty than ours.  So, when they Dynasty hits 57 or so, that is the peak torque….of 1200 Ft Lbs @ 1300 RPM.  That 1300 RPM is when the shifts are set up to be.

But, comparing speeds and RPM is only possible when you know the rear end ratio.  Tires and the same….

Tom - yes, very good point! Like yourself, mine shifts into 6th gear in the 60 mph range. Likewise, mpg ranges are not only affected by speed. but by the rear end ratios, so generic questions about fuel efficiency are only accurate when compared with same ratio rear axle ratios. I really hadn't given thought to that in the past.

    Many thanks Tom!

    I think around 1600 rpm

Thanks Matt! As Tom Cherry pointed out, we have different axle gear ratios so really not a direct comparison as i was assuming.

My 2008 Holiday Rambler Scepter with the 400 will apply exhaust brake while cruise control is on and will resume speed when needed.

As far as High Low setting, I'll have to see if that is somewhere on the panel, I don't recall seeing it before.

I love my 400, sweet spot seems to be around 64 mph.

Matt & others - at 64 mph what RPM's are you running on a fairly level/flat road?

    Thanks! Bart from VA

    Bart,

It's a little business project for my 9 and 6 year old grandsons. (with the help of their dad of course)  They are charging a dollar a piece for the covers and then they are mailing them in a Priority Mail box, with tracking for $10. That's exactly what it cost them to ship it.

    Carey

Hey thanks! I just printed off my first set & ready for a test install.
