  1. Problem solved. Thanks to the person who suggested RVCams.com Brent spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone with me so both of us understood the problem and solution. I purchased a new Voyager monitor with cable adapters and a kit to mount in the old Sony dash position. It took a little time to slightly enlarge the dash opening but the rest was plug and play. Thanks for all the suggestions.
  2. Got the rear monitor working by turning it on. It has a separate switch in addition to the joystick on/off Worked by phone with M&M Electronics to trouble shoot the system. The rear monitor works from either of the output jacks and the front one does NOT work on either jack. I have done a continuity check on the interface cable and all is well. Conclusion is that the obsolete monitor has died. Does anyone know where I may find a replacement? John Beall 2007 Monaco Dynasty Squire
  3. Thank you. I am thinking it is not a monitor problem as both of mine were working and now both are dead. I suspect I have no input signal but do not know where to look for the fault. I did some more with the joy sticks and found the right combination to turn on and off the power without having to use the ignition switch to turn off. Both joy sticks seem to work OK. In the process I got the rear camera mic to work also. Does anyone know of someone who is knowledgeable about and works on the Aladdin system? Thank you John Beall, 2007 Monaco Dynasty Squire
  4. Thanks for the replies. Yes I had done the reset. I have now reviewed the files section and no mention is made about monitor failures. Because both monitors are blank I am assuming that I have some sort of data transmission failure. The first time it failed I was able to get it to work simply by shutting down the engine and restarting. It worked for a couple more cycles and then failed again but came back after a couple of restarts. Now nothing. It acted like a loose connection.
  5. My Aladdin system has apparently died in my 2007 Monaco Dynasty Squire. The green power light comes on when the ignition is on or when I push the center button on the joystick. Neither the dashboard or bedroom monitor come on. I have exercised the 2 plugs on the dash monitor and the RCA jacks on the firewall module. I have wiggled but not exercised the multi-pin cable plugs on the firewall module as they are difficult to reach. I have attempted to turn off the unit using the joystick with no luck. There are 8 menu items. By using them joystick down scroll button I attempted to shut down the unit. I can turn it off by turning on and then off the ignition switch. The volume control does give me some faint static but is not picking up the rear camera mic. I had planned on having M&M Electronics attempt repairs but they will not be in Deland Florida this year. I plan to be on the east coast of Florida by early January. Any suggestions for additional trouble shooting I may do or who may be able to do repairs or replace with something else will be appreciated. John Beall 2007 Monaco Dynasty Squire
  6. As several others I am needing to replace my tires and have been having a problem finding my preferred Toyos. I have found a set of Generals and want to know if this will be a good choice. Thank you.

  10. 07 Dynasty Brake light up=date Have NOT found any specific things to fix. Removed the overhead panels in the basement looking for mouse problems and damaged wire looms. Nothing suspicious. Decided to replace the blown fuses in the FRB, 30 amp ABS, 15 amp brake and 15 amp flasher. I never have determined what caused them to blow and was hesitant to replace them. All fuses are holding OK. Turn signals and 4 way flasher works OK. Still had no brake lights. Someone suggested I check the brake light switches on the front firewall. The “normally closed” switches that disconnect the cruise etc. tested OK but the “normally open” switches did not appear to be working. Later remembered that my air pressure was nearly at zero so fired up the coach. After getting air pressure the brake lights now work along with other light signals. I have not actually repaired anything. The previous time I got things working without doing any “repairs” the brake lights got stuck on again. All I know to do now is keep traveling and hope all is well. Like walking on eggshells. It will be another 10 days before I am on the road again to see what happens Thanks to all who took the time to offer suggestions.
  11. 2007 Dynasty Now I am confused. At the first connector at the steering column the ohm meter shows no ground between the VIP smart wheel and the right and left turn wires. It does show a ground on both left and right turn signal wires headed to the back of the coach and I thought I may find a damaged wire somewhere in the 45 feet from the front to the back of the coach. Opened connector M-112 in the engine bay and had a ground signal in both directions for both the right and left turn wires. suggestions welcome. I also have now lost power to my VORAD system. The fuse in the FRB is OK This all started with an unattended coach plugged into shore power except for the arrival of mice.
  12. 2007 Dynasty My schematic shows the tow harness receptacle getting its signals directly from the steering column via a dashed line. What is the significance of a dashed line on a Monaco schematic? With fuses pulled I am getting 12V at the tow receptacle as I should. I also read a direct ground on the left and right turn terminals with fuses pulled. The receptacle has been potted at the factory so I assume the internal connections are still OK after working OK for 14 years. There is no sign of any physical damage to the receptacle. I will check the steering column end for an unexpected ground both on the up and down stream ends of connector M-10.
  13. Thank you. I do not have a circuit board 16 in my FRB so my configuration is a little different than your 06. I have figured out that M is for cable connectors and J is for the five large round cable plugs in the FRB. Have also figured out the circuit board numbering system. I have not figured out the TS designation. Based on your notes I assume the K designation is for the relays. Are they 87 relays? I am still confused as to how I am blowing the ABS fuses in addition to the brake and turn signal fuses.
  14. I found the part # V2D1. It has 4 terminals (2,3,7,8) Grounds are connected to #3 & 7. One of the two wires on #2 goes to the amber LED lamp. Two of the 3 wires on #8 are for the daisy chained switch backlights. Not sure about the third wire. After thinking about it, the fact that 7 & 8 are an "on-on" configuration makes sense to keep the backlights on. I am now assuming that the switch is OK and my problems lie elsewhere.
