  1. I checked in the coach today and found the batteries are at 12.0 level. I checked the shore power.  It was normal, but no current was being discharged into coach. Is this a transfer switch problem?

I checked the Big Boy. I got 12.3 V on one post and 11.9 V on other post. Looks like this could be my problem. ??? Comments please

  2. Have the old Duo-therm Comfort Control that controls the middle and rear ac. Control  problem started this morning by showing Mode ON / Mode OFF. Later today, it changed to COOL and was working, but it also showed AUX. HEAT at same time. When pressed MODE again, the AUX HEAT would go off and leave in COOL MODE . AC was working, so don't worry about it until I get home. Then tonight, the Comfort Control is showing MODE ON or OFF and AC is not working. When it is showing MODE ON, if you push the mode button again, it then would show MODE OFF. Looked in Duo-Therm book and did not see anything in reference to this condition. Should I remove control and clean contacts and reinstall or what?

It seems that Monaco bought flat black paint by the rail carload. Then they took a fire hose and sprayed anything and everything they could with this flat paint. Why not leave the engine the way it came from Cummins?

Not liking the look, I used acetone and in some areas MEK to remove all the flat paint and expose the shiny pant underneath. I did this an area at a time. So it was no afternoon project.  I’m happy with the results and have even painted parts to make them look better.

Just so you know, I ordered my 08 Camelot in April 2007.  So, I’ve had years to work at it. I want to know it there is any leak and the best way is to tidy everything up.  I use diluted Simple Green Purple in a spray bottle and then a garden hose. Any sign of oil get a blast of parts cleaner (Brakleen) and wiped off. I’ve been known to put a coat of wax on parts, also. I just stay after it. But that’s just me.

    Wow! That’s great looking

  4. Okay guys, I removed the motor from the coach. Prior to removal, it would not work at all. I removed the motor and tested it with a 12 volt battery and it works in both directions, so it must be in the switch box that tells it which way to turn, whatever thats called. So, what part am I looking to replace and what is it called?

  5. Got ready to leave INTRO rally in Lebanon, TN and step wouldn’t go in. My buddy and I worked on them about 30 minutes, then just started working without us knowing what we did, if anything. It worked for over a month and this morning, I went out to the coach to get something and the steps would not go in. I tried several times before I left to go on an errand. When I came back to see if I could fix it, it was working again. Any suggestions on where or what I need to do to prevent from happening on a trip?

  6. While coming home from my last trip, my rear view camera and radio started going blank for about 30 seconds and then come back on and  continued to do this, not on a schedule, for the remainder of the trip, which was about four hours. I’m thinking it is a grounding issue. What do you guys think? On a 2006 Dynasty, where do I need to search under the dash to find the ground bus bar?

Looking to replace the Docking lights (side lights) on my 2008 Monaco Dynasty. Couple of them are not working, would like to replace with LED hopefully brighter then the original install.

I have searched and not found the same oval shape. The distance between the screws is 5.25 inches.

    Thanks for any help.

I’m not at home, but I replaced my last year with new fixtures with led bulbs. You get them thru a “marine “ supplier on line. The look is identical with same screw hole dimensions.

  8. Question: Your valve that selects city water or tank water. If it is turned to city water and city water is not connected, and you turn on your pump to pull water from the tank, it will run and not shut off due to pressure flowing out the city inlet. Check and make sure the selector is turned to your tank outlet and not turned to city outlet.

I need help in finding a AC dryer and expansion valve for my 2008 Holiday Rambler Scepter.  I have the red engine, ISL400.  I have found the Sanden 4420 compressor, but need to find the correct dryer and expansion valve before I tear into it.  Any help is appreciated. Thanks Tim Kuhler. Tkdk@hctc.net

Did you find everything and did you solve your cooling problem? If so, what was the solution?

How does one replace these pot lights? I have one that is not working. Do you pull off or unscrew the cover ring?

Anybody know what the replacement bulb is?

For replacing the bulb and not the fixture. I've tried several different LED's. The one I like best, is Kohree LED Replacement G4 at 2 watts Natural White, #HP459-US.  It is medium priced, but it lasts for years. It 4000 K in brightness, so can use about anywhere. I get them on Amazon. Just unplug old and plug in new.

Well gang, we spoke too soon. Had to take Debbie back to the hospital and she’s been readmitted for a few more days.

How long do we have to stay here before I become a Florida resident?  🤪 Three weeks and counting today…

Lazydays has a rally starting tomorrow, so we’ll be moving to a nearby park called Quail Run RV Resort in Wesley Chapel, FL. Lazydays has been very gracious and accommodating, and worked with me to extend my stay.

Oh no, sorry to hear. Prayers are continuing.

We are flying on Monday to Salt Lake City Utah to pick up our newly purchased 2006 Dynasty.

I will NOT attempt any mountain driving or passes this time of year. The route I have chosen is to head south on I-15 as quickly as possible to hook up with the I-10 Freeway at Quartzsite. We will stay on I-10 all the way to Florida.

I have driven my Windsor in 5-6 inches of snow at elevation while towing a 30-foot cargo trailer and it wasn't FUN at all. Luckily, we drove out of the snow once we got to Destruction Bay in the Yukon on our way to Alaska one year.

I do NOT recommend choosing any northern route this time of year. The weather is TOO unpredictable. Even the southern route can have some freezing weather. Back in January 2011 while crossing the country on the I-10 Freeway we stopped for the night one day's drive west of San Antonia TX. We woke up to frozen ice on all of our toppers due to having rain overnight followed by a severe cold front passing through which froze all of the rain. What a mess to deal with the next morning.

Dr4Film, just curious. I see you are getting the 06 Dynasty. Will it fit in your garage or did you modify your garage opening?

    Hello all,

I wanted to take a moment of personal privilege and update those who attended the Gathering on my wife, Debbie.  For those not here, the first day of the Gathering, Debbie was was taken to the ER and admitted to the hospital here in Tampa with a serious gastrointestinal issue.  She has been treated in the CCICU at AdventHealth Tampa for a week as of today.  Today we were informed she will have to have emergency surgery here in Tampa, meaning we will be here another 10-14 days. We had hoped to get her well enough to travel home for the surgery, but that’s not how things have worked out.

    Best Regards,
    Scotty

Oh my! Praying for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery and praying for you too.

The larger diameter air lines are required on coaches with Ping tanks.  If your coach has these tanks, the larger lines will provide rapid air transfer between the airbags and the ping tanks.  In effect the air volume is much higher with these tanks vs just the airbag so you get more of a softer ride.  On my Dynasty I have two ping tanks on the steer axle, none on the drive axle.  The Signature and I think the Executive have ping tanks also on the drive axle.

The lines going to the ping tanks are 1/4" but the line coming out of the two ping tanks to the front steer axle airbags are much larger.  I didn't measure them but guessing about 3/4".

On my drive and tag axles, there are reducer fittings at the airbag to feed the 1/4" air lines.  I don't have ping tanks in the rear.

Thanks Frank. I gave Josam the part number and they will put 3/4" air inlet airbags on the front.

Frank, you have a Dynasty and I have a Dynasty. Do you know the size of the airlines going to your airbags on front? I thought they were 1/4", but I haven't looked lately.
