  1. I am in need of replacing my 10 airbags.  Josam's wants to replace bags with standard air inlet, I think is 1/2" inlet  verses the 3/4" size inlet that is currently on coach. Going with the smaller size air inlet, will it change the leaning of coach going around curves? To the people who have already changed out your airbags and went with the smaller size inlet, did you notice any difference when driving. My coach is 2006 Dynasty 42' with tag.

I have owned my Dynasty for a little over a month and so far I have replaced skylight due to leak, replaced electronic fan control with wax valve(still not working right) trying to fix front driver side leaking down in an hour, Jake bake stuck on (can’t disengage it) installed 100watt solar system because batteries kept draining down to fast, going to order Amish cooling unit for Norcold that has very rusted pipes and now trying to get this wire harness plug to work. With a test light all I get constant power on one spade and the running lights on another. No left and right turn signal and no brake lights. The tail lights on the. bus work fine just the plug has the problems. The bus has a brake controller installed and it looks like a 3 wire harness is spliced into the plug harness just in back of the plug. Is there a separate fuse for just the plug harness? I have looked in both front and rear run bays and can’t find anything labeled that has anything to do with it. I am leaving in a week on a trip and want to get this fixed before I go any help would be appreciated

The wax valve. It’s very seldom you have a problem. You did drill a hole and weld the weld nut to the stack and screw the wax valve into it, correct.? If not , there is a good how to video on you tube.

Replaced my 99 Windsor 8.3l with a Remy 8200433 39MT.  Word of advice,  the new starter is indexible.  Wish I knew that before I started.  One of the connections was a pain in the ass! 5 minutes to index would have saved me an hour or more of cussing lol!

Does anyone know the trick to unplugging this connector on my Triptek. I'm afraid I will really damage it if I pull or pry to hard (looks like one wire has already some off), but that little sucker does not want to come off.

    What am I missing?

    Here is a pic

    Thanks in advance,

Did you unscrew the screw on each end and the pull apart?

I have an Atwood 3-Burner stove on my 2009 Monaco Camelot that I am looking to replace. The front burner melted and is unusable. The model number is C-A33SPSN which is no longer available. I am trying to determine what range top replaces the discontinued one.  I called Dometic who owns Atwood and they couldn't tell me.  From searching, I believe it is 52961 or 52963 in stainless.  Does anyone happen to know?

    Thanks,

Curious, how did you melt the front burner?

    Life Between Sixty and Death!!!

A majority of the Members of the Monacoers Group are over Sixty, are retired and hopefully living the life they have dreamed of the following message is for you.

I really like what is said here and am going to try my best to follow it. Thank you to the person who wrote this. May God bless us all as we strive to be a blessing to others at this age, especially to our children.

    Dave

FOR THOSE WHO ARE 60 yrs. OLD AND ABOVE PLEASE READ THIS.

🚩Between 60 and death. It's time to use the money you saved up. Use it and enjoy it. Don't just keep it for those who may have no notion of the sacrifices you made to get it. Remember there is nothing more dangerous than a son or daughter-in-law with big ideas for your hard-earned capital.

🚩Warning: This is also a bad time for investments, even if it seems wonderful or fool-proof. They only bring problems and worries. This is a time for you to enjoy some peace and quiet.

🚩Stop worrying about the financial situation of your children and grandchildren, and don't feel bad spending your money on yourself. You've taken care of them for many years, and you've taught them what you could. You gave them an education, food, shelter, and support. The responsibility is now theirs to earn their own money.

🚩Keep a healthy life, without great physical effort. Do moderate exercise (like walking every day), eat well, and get your sleep. It's easy to become sick, and it gets harder to remain healthy. That is why you need to keep yourself in good shape and be aware of your medical and physical needs. Keep in touch with your doctor, do tests even when you're feeling well. Stay informed.

🚩Always buy the best, most beautiful items for your significant other. The key goal is to enjoy your money with your partner. One day one of you will miss the other, and the money will not provide any comfort then, enjoy it together.

🚩Don't stress over the little things. You've already overcome so much in your life. You have good memories and bad ones, but the important thing is the present. Don't let the past drag you down and don't let the future frighten you. Feel good in the now. Small issues will soon be forgotten.

🚩Regardless of age, always keep love alive. Love your partner, love life, love your family, love your neighbor and remember: "A man is not old as long as he has intelligence and affection."

🚩Be proud, both inside and out. Don't stop going to your hair salon or barber, do your nails, go to the dermatologist and the dentist, keep your perfumes and creams well stocked. When you are well-maintained on the outside, it seeps in, making you feel proud and strong.

🚩Don’t lose sight of fashion trends for your age, but keep your own sense of style. You’ve developed your own sense of what looks good on you – keep it and be proud of it. It’s part of who you are.

🚩ALWAYS stay up-to-date. Read newspapers, watch the news. Go online and read what people are saying. Make sure you have an active email account and try to use some of those social networks. You'll be surprised at what old friends you'll meet.

🚩Respect the younger generation and their opinions. They may not have the same ideas as you, but they are the future and will take the world in their direction. Give advice, not criticism, and try to remind them that yesterday's wisdom still applies today.

Never use the phrase: “In my time.” Your time is now. As long as you’re alive, you are part of this time.

🚩Some people embrace their golden years, while others become bitter and surly. Life is too short to waste your days on the latter. Spend your time with positive, cheerful people, it'll rub off on you and your days will seem that much better. Spending your time with bitter people will make you feel older and harder to be around.

🚩Do not surrender to the temptation of living with your children or grandchildren (if you have a financial choice, that is). Sure, being surrounded by family sounds great, but we all need our privacy. They need theirs and you need yours. Even then, do so only if you feel you really need the help or do not want to live by yourself

🚩Don't abandon your hobbies. If you don't have any, make new ones. You can travel, hike, cook, read, dance. You can adopt a cat or a dog, grow a kitchen garden, play cards, checkers, chess, dominoes, golf.

🚩Try to go. Get out of the house, meet people you haven't seen in a while, experience something new (or something old). The important thing is to leave the house from time to time. Go to museums, go walk through a park. Get out there.

🚩Speak in courteous tones and try not to complain or criticize too much unless you really need to. Try to accept situations as they are.

🚩Pains and discomfort go hand in hand with getting older. Try not to dwell on them but accept them as a part of life.

🚩If you've been offended by someone – forgive them. If you've offended someone-apologize. Don't drag around resentment with you. It only serves to make you sad and bitter. It doesn't matter who was right. Someone once said: "Holding a grudge is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die." Don't take that poison. Forgive, forget, and move on with your life.

🚩Laugh. Laugh away your worries Remember, you are one of the lucky ones. You managed to have a life, a long one. Many never get to this age, never get to experience a full life.

My valued friends, enjoy peaceful life at this point in your life ...

    Don't worry... be happy. 🥰

May We all Live a Long Happy Life!!!!

Thanks for posting Dave! Well said. I try to apply most if not all .

To be honest I'm not familiar with that unit but here's what their website says:

    What is InvisiBrake?
InvisiBrake is a fully-automatic supplemental braking system that uses the electrical connections already in place on your towed vehicle (the towed vehicle's electrical harness) to brake when you brake the motorhome — the same electrical signal that activates the towed vehicle's brake lights also activates InvisiBrake.

This would indicate they use the brake light wire to activate it and not the electric brake wire. The electric brake wire may in fact not be hooked to anything.

Thanks Tom, I hadn't thought of that. I was consecrating on why that pin was active.

  8. Getting coach ready for a new season before I store it for December and January. Upon other things, I checked the electric brake power in the 7 pin plug with wife pushing on brake and there is no power going to the "electric brake" terminal. I looked up the wiring diagram for the 7 pin and the wiring stops at "Brake M95-1". What is "Brake M95-1"?   I'm thinking a fuse or loose connection, but have no ideal where to look for the fuse, unless it is in the FRB ?  I thought I would check it because I hadn't seen the brake light on the console come on for a good while.

Thanks, I’ve been looking to replace two of mine as well and had not found a source. Now, I have two sources to call.

  10. Does anyone have a copy of the instructions on removing and installing the seals and ball on the Sealand Magnum Opus 3110? On youtube, I see multiple how to's on multiple toilets, but not for the Opus. When ordering the parts, I inquired about does it come with instructions and was told yes. But it didn't come with instructions. At a loss. Didn't see any in the files.  Woody O.

OK, I am going to go out on a limb here.

Peoples comfort level will vary, but…

    Some facts,

    plain water boils at 212

50/50 coolant mix boils around 235

50/50 with a 15# radiator cap boiling point is 265

If it gets 215-220 AND STAYS THERE, I would continue to take the precautions that you have, slow a bit, downshift, keep the RPM’s up, and run it.

    A little aside.

Our first pusher, Cummins ISC, 300 hp, the fan ran full time.

We brought it to The chassis manufacturer and had the “2 speed” fan upgrade done. So, basically the fan ran at a very slow speed UNTIL…the water temp got to 205. Only then did the fan finally kick on.

    Again, YMMV.

Im keeping the RPM's up, The engine will de rate at 225.

Who replaced your thermostat. On a truck once I had replaced mine and it was somehow installed in a bind. It would open and then not close for a long time or not at all. Temperature would not get above 140 after climbing a hill and starting down the other side. Got into yard and and pulled housing off and found it stuck open. Could just have easily been sticking closed. If that was just replaced I would check that first. Especially if you were not having any problems before.

How hot is “too hot” and are you really really sure the radiator is clean?

Some of these coaches have 3 and 4 layers ( rad, charge air cooler, ac condensor, fuel and hydraulic coolers etc) so the rad might look clean…

212-215, Kenworth Sales in Idaho Falls checked the radiator and it looked okay.

How are you measuring the temps, some sort of display or the gauges.

    What temps are you seeing?

On mine the temp will climb to 185, that is when the fan starts to kick in.  On hot days or climbing grades it will increase to ~199 (that's when the fan is running WAO) or slightly higher but eventually start coming back down once over the grade.  Some of this is due to the transmission since that cooler is adjacent to the radiator.  On hard pulls my transmission temp will surpass the engine temp, even if I do drop down a gear trying to keep temps down.  Eventually both temps will drop.  On my last trip the highest temp I saw was on the transmission at 208F, for a short period.

You should easily be able to check how clean the radiator is.  Put a flash light on one side and then loot at the other.  You try cleaning it, spray water from the inside then out several times.  If there is not any accumulation of oil it will wash dirt out.  If oil is present you may have to use a cleaner.

Looking at the temps that the Aladdin is posting. I sprayed it and cleaned it before this trip. I'm stopping the coach and fast idealing at 212-215 degrees.

Engine getting hot, so I unplugged the fan controller while in Grand Junction. Fan did get louder but not very loud. Ran from there to Monument Valley and everything was great as far as the engine, so thought I had monetary fixed my problem. Left there and ran that 2+ hr. grade to Bryce Canyon and running 50 instead of 65 and dropping down to first gear several times and stopping to cool down. Changed thermostat on way out here and unplugged the fan controller. Not sure if steering wheel is turning any harder. Power of suggestion, I think it is turning just a little harder to steer. So, is it the fan or is it the pump or it something else? Heading to Moab , and then to Grand Canyon where it is triple digit temperature. Hoping to contact a certain mechanic in Moab.

Traveling over contential divide to reach Grand Tetons, had to drop speed drop down to 35mph and had to stop 4 times to cool down radiator. Got appointment at Kenworth Sales in Idaho Falls this coming Thursday. Over the phone, they are thinking fan control. Not sure if they would have a replacement, so was hoping to find a source here to help out if they don’t. Have a 2006 Dynasty with ISL-2 400 Cummins.

I had some time on my hands yesterday, so I climbed under coach to look for two 1/4" lines and saw none. Then, I went to the rear of coach and started tracing hydraulic lines coming off the fan. Traced one back to hydraulic tank. Traced another to a block {valve} and low and behold, it had an electric wire harness coming out of it. It was the valve I had been looking for. Unplugged the wires as we were getting ready to leave Grand Junction, and wow, I could put the peddle to the metal and run without any worries of overheating. WOW !!!! Thanks to Paul for giving me a link to replace parts when I get home, thanks to Hypoxia and Timaz for telling me how to fix it while on the road.

If it is the electronic Sauer Danfoss control, Unplug the fan control & it should go to high speed continuously.  If the fan control module fails it reverts to high speed.

Could you tell me where those wires are, so I can unplug and see if fan speeds up? I went outside and listened to the the fan at start up and then I went outside and listened to the fan at 210 degrees and the fan is not any louder.

I went to Kenworth Sales in Idaho Falls to see if everything was working as it should on the coach. They plugged their laptop into the diagnostic port and found out that everything was working as it should.  The problem was, I went up a too long, too high an inclined and it was too much for my coach. So, in the future, I will check the elevation when scheduling my routes to determine which inclines to tackle. Everything went well going over to Estes Park yesterday. Thanks to everyone who rendered  assistance.

  17. The bedroom ceiling (led) lights started cutting off. Manually turn back on, cut off, manually churn on and after maybe three times would work for couple of days without any further problems. Today, it happened again and this time, the bedroom ceiling lights and the kitchen lights cutoff by itself. Turned back on twice before they stayed on without any further problems.  Any ideas of what to do?  2006 Dynasty.
