  1. Not knowing what  exactly is the problem, hard to give any advice to a solution. I would first start with the relay switch on the pump/motor to make sure that is not the problem. Common failure point and fairly simple fix. If no joy there, then the electric end on the pump would be next. The pump/motor runs such a short period of time, that is an unlikely failure point. Not to say that it does not fail, but I would be sure to rule out the other components before throwing money at it. Ask the tech specific questions concerning the components, making sure he has checked them before committing to a new pump. Hope this helps.

  2. I built some 2x10 wood ramps to get the coach up in the air to do under carriage maintenance. Start with a longer piece for the bottom, then the next one a little shorter, and so on. I just screw them together. I have some that are stacked with 4, 2x10’s. Gives you about 7 inches of clearance. Ideally, once coach is up on ramps, some jack stands placed underneath as backup is a good idea. Hope this helps.

  3. Is the bedroom location the only one that does not work? If all switch locations don’t work, then check the plug on the generator itself. I have inadvertently disconnected mine running the generator slide in and out, by hooking the plug on the framing as it was going by. Hope this helps, good luck.

Oh, one more thing that led to my pondering all this.  Last night when I shut down to boondock the Aladdin showed 100 amp discharge which was very very very unusual so I started flipping breakers trying to find the uncommon heavy load.  Started think fridge died as freezer showed 14° and Fridge side 52° and when I flipped the residential fridge breaker the heavy load went away.  But flipped back on and no heavy load and within 10 minutes freezer showed -1 and fridge at 36°.  Did I just randomly catch it at some defrost cycle drawing a lot of current?  It is working normally today.

This has been happening to me also. Recently pondering equalizing house batteries due to perceived underperforming house battery capacity.  With inverter on, what I did was disconnect most of the AC load, including residential refer, and let sit for 2 days and then measured battery voltage. Readings were 12.5-12.6 range implying to me batteries were sufficient. What puzzles me is why Aladdin shows 100 amp discharge occasionally, until I shut off residential refer breaker, then back to normal. I considered the refer has a defrost heater that may be malfunctioning and drawing excessive amps when going into defrost mode. In reading Al’s post, I see he also has a 2007 Beaver as I do, and am now wondering if this may be a problem common to our similar year coach. Getting ready to leave on a trip tomorrow and hoping to maybe figure out what is going on. Will keep an eye on things and will report back with any findings.

  5. Do you have a battery isolator? Chassis lug and house lug are within inches of each other. That’s where I hooked mine up on my 02’ Marquis . Hope this helps, good luck.

  6. Considering equalizing 4, 4D Lifeline AGM house batteries. My Magnun Inverter/Charger has the equalize mode so no problem there. What I was wondering is, do the starting batteries combine with the house side during the equalizing process, and is this some thing I should do? I have the Big Boy combining system, so disconnecting the Big Boy wouldn’t be an issue to isolate the two battery systems. Also, I have a 30 amp service where I store my motor home. Any help or ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  7. Have you considered low oil pressure, or wrong oil viscosity. Both are critical to proper operation of hydraulic lifters. Seems to me all the mechanical and electrical pieces have bee addressed. Do you have an oil pressure gauge or a light? Might try a mechanical gauge if only a light, to verify good oil pressure. Hope this helps.
