  1. The stair company  sent me a new motor which was wired wrong for 250 and when I called them they said I needed the updated components for 650. I gave the old motor to a guy at my local Napa and offered him 100 to find me a motor. He found it in California Napa for 85 including shipping. He gave me all the info on where the motor comes from.

    good luck,

  2. I have the same tranny with a Detroit series 60. Mine will run close to 200 most of the time and get to 240 on long hill climbs. I was in AZ this winter with lots of climbing and never had any issues running 24-260. I think I would change all sensors before I spent the money on anew tranny. They should be able to look at shift solenoid, shift plates and lots of things that are easy fixes . I also changed all my filters and use transynd about 5 years ago. I think some time these guys think we are a gold mine to plunder. I don’t mean to bad mouth anyone but I get tired of guys scratching their head and telling me I need to spend thousands of dollars to find out what is wrong.

    good luck

  3. I am 75 and greasing my coach once a year. Get cardboard to slide orotund on to do the work. I paid to have my oil changed on my car about 10 years ago and discovered they charge for grease and oil change and only changed the oil filter. I don’t trust anyone anymore and it gives me a chance to clean and do a thorough cleaning of the undercarriage.I also enjoy the thought of saving money.

  4. I don’t know if it helps but I first got a code when claiming hills in Virginia last year. The light would go out when going down and on when climbing. It eventually stayed on and I had loss of power and could not get over 50 or shift out of 5th gear. I changed all the filters and eventually the wiring harness for injectors . Runs great now. Good luck.

  5. I had the same problem last year with my 05 Series 60 and after 4 mechanic’s telling me it was number 4 injector and I should replace all 6 while I was at it a truck shop read the codes and said it was a injector harness shorting out and was the problem 9 out of ten times with that motor. I changes the harness myself for 280.00 and it runs smoothly and pulls hard now. Mine showed the same symptoms. Good luck
