  1. Thanks Jim, I will check this out. After further research I did find a Powermax PMTS-50 that is very similar. Does anyone have any experience with this unit? Bob,
  2. Robert: In the future, please do a simple search before starting a topic that is common to many. I used the IOTA in the search. There is a 6 page topic specifically for it. Your new thread is redundant and you also can get most of the information here by reading it. I had to MERGE it as we are getting fragmented and have the same topic with different folks commenting all over the forum. Thanks in advance. Moderator END EDIT. I just realized I have the notorious IOTA transfer switch on my 2009 Cayman. It is located in the front run bay, and it appears that there is very little room to maneuver the gen, panel, shore wiring. Is there a direct replacement or has anyone with the same coach changed this unit out? The WFCO, now Aterra, T-57 looks close, but the gen and panel are reversed. Thanks,
  3. Will do, Ray. The description has it at a 2" diameter, I think. It would just be a matter of mounting.
  4. Sorry about that Gary M! I should have known because you sent the pictures with the assembly out. I am relatively new to this forum, and I am still learning the ropes. I would like to thank everyone that helped with this thread.
  5. Gary, You have to extend the cover first if you can. Mine would not extend, so I gave it a hard tug and the bracket that engages the side rails popped out. The I pulled the cover out. there are three screws along the each side, and there are two that attach the limiting bracket to the footrest. Once that is off, there are two screws, mine were hidden behind a cloth material, that hold the whole assembly to the edge of the stepwell. Some posters have indicated they could not get the assembly out without removing the door frame. on mine, I loosened the grab handle and was able to pivot it out of the way. You can the lift the front of the assembly up and turn it so it will fit through the door. I am sorry, I did not take any pictures when I did this. By the way, your suggestion for McMaster Carr was spot on! I found out the part I need is called a Lead Screw Nut (Allied 3/4' 6 pitch P/N 2224N17). They have one that is a clam shell design. That way, you do not have to remove the lead screw. It looks like it will work with some modification. I hope this helps.
  6. Thanks Paul. I found that also. It is not the same as the one in my coach. Mine is still working, but I know the gear slider will let go eventually. I might try to find a machine shop that can make one. Thank you all for your help.
  7. Thanks! I did find a diagram in the downloads section. Any idea where to source parts?
  8. That is the one! I need the round gear that the long worm gear goes through.
  9. I have my step cover out (2009 Monaco Cayman), and the round gear that rides on the worm gear shaft is about to let go. Does anyone know of a source for this gear? Thanks
  10. I had the same thing on my 09 Cayman. The original board (MT970) was still available from MegaTech of Oregon a few months ago. It seems like it was a little over $100. I just found it on Ebay for $50.00! MegaTech of Oregon Monaco Board 16624716 I actually wired in the Bird-2 shown in your picture. It seems to be working.
  11. Thanks, Moonwink. I did just that. So far, after replacing some o-rings and tightening some fittings, it seems to be holding pressure.
  12. Thanks, Harvey, and thanks to all who replied to this post! The cap seems to be intact, so I will replace the o-ring. The compressor also has Schrader valves in addition to the ones up front. I will replace those, also. Thanks again to all for the valuable input.
  13. Robert, I think I will try to do just that. Thank you for your input.
  14. Thanks, Harvey. I have attached a better photo with the cap on. It is mounted on a T connection on the upper end of the condenser coil. I can only assume that it is used to shut off the refrigerant in that line for servicing. if you look close, you can see the oily residue on the T fitting. Is it possible the cap o-ring is the issue? Bob Keating 09 Cayman
  15. Thanks, but the expansion valve and compressor cutout switch are up front on the passenger side. Unless some A/C units have two? This part looks almost like some kind of needle valve. Bob Keating 09 Cayman
  16. Greetings all! I am trying to identify the part that is in the attached photo. It sits atop the dash air conditioner condenser. It has a plastic cap on it similar to the ones used on the schrader valves. I am chasing a slow refrigerant leak, and when I removed the cap from this part, it was covered in oil. I am guessing this could be the culprit. Any help would appreciated. Bob Keating 2009 Cayman
  17. Good morning, Steve. This is where I screwed up, but your plumbing looks correct. Did you lower the coach before you tried to air the bags? If not, the leveling valve will not send air to the ping. I think I had the same issue. I did not want to put the weight of the coach on empty airbags. When I lowered it, everything worked. Good luck!
  18. Steve, Sorry you had so much grief! From the photos, it looks like mine was the same setup. Maybe the Cayman has more fender clearance than the Knight. You are right, is is definitely not fun, but I was quoted $3K for the install. The money saved and the satisfaction of doing it myself was a big reward. For what its worth, I did try to remove the rear tires, but my air tools didn't have enough horsepower. There is a lot more room to work up front, good luck!
  19. Good luck on the install! We took a 300 mile trip over the weekend in a 25-30 mph quartering headwind. The difference in handling was amazing. The kit did not, however, improve the MPG...LoL
  20. It does appear to be a light switch, because it has the same paired mounting as all of the other lights. The left most switch controls all of the lights in the bathroom. The right switch doesn't do anything except make the bathroom lights flicker once when you turn it on. Thanks for all of the input, but I have decided not to worry about it.
  21. You can do it! I wish there was a way we could in real time if you had a question. Oh well... bob
  22. Steve, No, I did not take pictures. I was in a hurry to get ready for a trip this weekend. The photos that Source provides are really sufficient. The main issue that I came across was not understanding the instructions about plumbing the ping tank. You leave the source air supply to the leveling valve and connect the air dump and valve out to the bag to the ping tank. They provide a T which connects the T to the ping tank via a separate 1/4" air line. My coach has a leveling valve on each side. This kit only uses one valve, so I sourced any air line needed fro the spare valve. They also send an air line cap for the air supply to the unused valve. If you only have the center mounted leveling valve, it is a much less confusing install. This is what I learned: 1. you will need a floor jack to put under the front shock mounts. When you remove the front shocks, the front axle just sort of dangles. 2. The front air bags arrive in a pretty bell shape. after you install them and remove the floor jack, they will extend to the point that it looks like they are damaged. They are not. 3. All bags arrive with a center bolt or nut , depending on whether is a front or rear. The bot/nut will be loose. Turns out this allows the bottom plate to rotate so the mounting studs/holes will line up. I hand tightened mine and was still able to rotate the bottom plate. 4. The front bags make very loud popping noises when first inflated. I was warned of this by Source and it is perfectly normal. 5. The shock bots and nuts take a 1 1/8 inch wrench/socket. Other sizes are 3/4", 9/16", and 1/2". There might also be a random 5/8". I hope this helps. Let me know if I can help with further information on how my install went. Bob,
  23. Thanks for all of the suggestions. It is not the water pump switch or the vent fan switch. It is mounted side by side like all of the other light switches. Apparently, we haven't needed it, so I wont worry about it. Thanks again
