04 executive. I have lost my cruise control. When I push the on off button nothing happens. Also my windshield wipers any not working properly. You have to hold down the button to keep them going. Any ideas where to start? Thanks

Paul, I don't know that this will help you at all because so many of the guys who have a smart wheel feel like the clockspring is the problem.  All I know is that my cruise control quit working because I left my exhaust brake on while I was driving, rather than just using it when needed on downhills and momentarily to help slow down from highway speeds.  You might just glance at your exhaust brake switch and see if it is on, but this info is probably more useful to guys who have a "dumbwheel" like me. 🙂

Newbie here can someone tell me what weep holes covers do and I I need them, all mine are missing I would need 10 sets in my 2003 Windsor.  Thank you

Dawn, as far as I know, the weep holes allow moisture that forms on the inside of your windows and runs down into the trough at the bottom to be drained to the outside of the coach.  The covers that fit into the slots on the outside of your window frame help to keep wind noise down and dust/dirt from blowing in though the slots into your coach.  I would think that there might also be a slight "venturi effect" when running at highway speeds that would help to draw the water out of the slots as well.

If you would like to get some for you coach, send me a PM (personal message) and I will try to help you.  Place your cursor over the green circle with the "I" in it and then scroll down to click on the box that says "message".

I also didn't know what was being talked about.  Thanks  Olywrestle for the picture. I just checked and found out I am missing 9.  I could use a dozen so I have extras on hand. I don't have access to a 3d printer so would be willing to pay for some, as long as the price is reasonable of course.

Chris, I'm sending you a PM.

Carey - I finished the install of the weep hole covers this weekend and they snapped right into place and fit perfectly (pics attached - note that one pic has an example of the inferior Atwood product on the right and your superior work of art on the left) .  You and your son and grandsons have done a wonderful thing and I really appreciate it!   And as everyone has said, the notes that your grandsons included were priceless !!

    Thanks,

    Steve P

    Hi Carey,

I received and installed my weep hole covers during the hectic holiday season.  Now that things have returned to normal I want to take the time to express my sincere thanks to you and your family for all the time spent on this great project. I really enjoyed the thank you cards from the kids. The covers look great, fit perfect, and installed easily as per your instructions. Happy New Year to you and your family!

    Regards,
    John

    Thank you, John.

So glad that everything worked out to your satisfaction, and thank you for your comments!

Cary my second photo is to show how they look before snapping them in. These fit perfectly

Thank you Bill, for taking the time to clarify that!  I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a problem with that one.

  8. Bill, I'm glad that you are pleased.  The top picture looks great, but I am curious about the bottom picture.  Is there a problem with that cover, or are you in the process of installing it?  The way that I am recommending to install them is:

"to insert the larger hook into the rear slot, slide the cover as far back as it can go. At that point the tip of the front hook will just start to fit into the front slot.  Place your thumb on the 45 degree slant and push in and back at the same time.  It will lock into place nice and tight."

  10. Rikki, I just finished PM'ing a bunch of folks with new order requests and jumped back on to the main thread only to see your post.  My wife was putting the boys to bed upstairs and I called out to her and said, Babe, you and the boys have to come back down here and see this post!  They were so excited to see their thank you notes in the pictures and hear all the kind words that you had to say.  It was a great finish to a good day.  Thank you so much for doing that!

  11. Thank you, Scotty!

It is a great chance for them to learn about how a business operates, and I am very grateful that you and the other administrators are allowing them this opportunity.  We are developing an appreciation for the adage "Not all Monacos are created alike".  Even though most all of the windows that people have on their coaches are the same, we have come across at least two other versions that are quite different.  (Actually, one of those was a Safari)  Some of the early 2000's Monacos had weep hole covers that snapped in from the bottom instead of from the side.  My son is in the process of designing a prototype for those windows with the help of one of our members, Tim-AZ , as he owns a coach with these windows and can test fitment for us.

This has been a learning experience for all of us!

  12. Thanks, Robby!

We are all so glad that you like them.  Both of the grandsons are here spending a few days with us.  They are excited to experience the next phase of "the business"!  Customer feedback.  You are the first to actually get your covers installed and leave some feedback.  I know that a couple more guys should get theirs tomorrow.  We are looking forward to hearing from them as well.  I don't think that I have mentioned it yet, but the boys have decided to contribute 10% of their profit to SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE, a charity that builds beds for children who don't have a bed.

Once again Robby, thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.  I hope you and all the Monacoers on this forum have a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year!

  13. Bart,

It's a little business project for my 9 and 6 year old grandsons. (with the help of their dad of course)  They are charging a dollar a piece for the covers and then they are mailing them in a Priority Mail box, with tracking for $10. That's exactly what it cost them to ship it.

  14. Well Guys, it looks like "we have a winner"!  I got 3 different versions of the redesigned weep hole covers.  I tested about 16 of them and they are GREAT!  Not 1 of the 16 that I put on my coach broke a hook or had any issues at all.  They all fit like a glove.  My son beefed up the rear hook substantially.  It is now about 5/16" to 3/8" long.  The reason we wanted this this rear hook to be much stronger is because the rear of the cover is much more vulnerable to getting snagged by a rag or a brush when washing or drying the coach.  The front of the cover, with its 45 degree slant is not likely to be snagged by anything, so that hook is not as big (although it is a lot more substantial than the first version).  The way to install the covers is to insert the larger hook into the rear slot, slide the cover as far back as it can go. At that point the tip of the front hook will just start to fit into the front slot.  Place your thumb on the 45 degree slant and push in and back at the same time.  It will lock into place nice and tight.

They are working on getting the new revision printed.  It is a time consuming process, so hang in there.  They will get everyone's order fulfilled in the order that they came in.  It takes about 5-6 hours to print about 20 of the covers.  I will be contacting you individually as your order is ready to ship.  The preferred payment options will be Zelle or Venmo.  If that doesn't work for you, don't worry, we will figure something out.

The covers will look exactly like the black ones a few posts up.  Only the size of the hooks (or tabs) will be bigger.

    Thanks,

    Carey
