  1. Charging RV batteries with shore power necessitates the proper amp rating. Determine whether the campground has a 30-amp or a 50-amp hookup.
  2. Converters are used to transform AC power to DC when charging your RV batteries on chore power. If you live off the grid, you can connect your AC appliances to the inverter to make them operate.
  3. Winterize my RV and don't use antifreeze by draining the RV’s tanks and pipes of all water. Using an air compressor will pressurize air so that I can blow out water from the RV’s tanks and pipes, and the air compressor should be 30 to 50 psi.
  4. It had been hot and humid for a few days so everyone was running their ACs and I had noticed the power would cut off and back on for maybe half a second several times during the hottest part of the day. So, I took my neighbor’s advice and checked both legs of my 50 amp power source. One leg was running 122 volts which are good but, the other leg was running 108 volts which is very bad. Anything below 113 volts will cause appliances to pull more amps to make up the difference. This causes heat to build up in some appliances especially ACs, TVs, and refrigerators. This Hughes autoformer 30 amp will shorten their life dramatically. What this product does is when the voltage drops below 113 volts it raises the voltage by as much as 10%. I don’t know how but it does. It also has built-in surge protection. I know it’s a little pricey but when you compare it to replacing an AC or refrigerator it’s well worth it!
  5. The fastest way to get the correct RV window glass replacement is by measuring your old window’s dimensions, especially its thickness. If it is unsafe to measure the shattered glass window or the glass is no longer whole, you can ask an RV glass replacement company for a suitable replacement. You might want to be ready with your window’s dimensions and your vehicle’s VIN, year, model, and make.
