StephenW
I am looking to replace the hoses to the surge tank and was wondering if 10mm silicone hose would be OK to use. I have searched for info and can't find anything about the original specs on these hoses. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Solution klcdenver Posted January 31, 2021 Solution Share Posted January 31, 2021 I just replaced mine on a 2007 diplomat. Should be the same size. It is a Gates Green Stripe 24920 are equivalent which I believe is a 1 1/4 ID. Make sure you use a wire spiral wound hose because you do not want it collapse. It is stiff and hard to work with so make sure you order it long enough. I also suggest you order new heavy duty clamps.

StephenW
Thank you again to klcdenver. Just an update, I checked the 11/4" hose from bottom of surge tank and it is a spiral wound hose. The 10mm small hoses from top of surge tank I will replace with Gates 3/8" silicone coolant hose. Local truck shop guys told me the log trucks in this area use this product. Also got the heavy duty clamps. StephenW 2001 Dynasty
