hbr509 Posted May 15, 2022 Share Posted May 15, 2022 (edited) I need some help 2007 Dynasty a/c compressor keeps blowing 5 amp fuse , I replaced the relay still wont work , I put in another fuse and it may last an hour and sometimes 10 minutes . Any ideas . I also had a ac guy hook up power probe to the wire to compressor and it was 12 volts .and let the engine run and 1 time it spiked to 18 volts for a second then went back to 12 volts . welleking Posted May 16, 2022 Share Posted May 16, 2022 sounds like you are using the wrong size fuse. the 18 v is the cycling of the coil and is expected... the coil should be a 15 or 20 amp fuse and the relay coil would be 5 amps. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
