tmw188
Stayed at the Loves RV Stop in Normal IL junction 55 and 39. This was easy to reserve and execute the check in process. Impressed and with GS discount for a pull thru was $50. You could walk to the Loves store and fuel up with your Open Roads TSD card. Walking trail, fire pit, bbq grill, dog run, I thought it was a good value but pickel ball courts might of been a little waste of money?
Paul J A
Simplicity at a value. I like it. That would be very attractive for cross country, etc, stopping every other day, etc.
Tom Cherry
Well, isn't that cool. We always tried to "boondock" overnight in a Cabelas. The security is great and the sites are level. Typically, there is NO COST. They don't have power or water, but maybe have a "fee" dump station. We have used them as far west as Oklahoma and north into Canada. The "Home office" one, which I believe was in Oklahoma, had a real CG like the Love's in the pictures. NO OVERNIGHT FEE for the parking lot. First Come First Served....and you were supposed to check in with the Store. Really nice, courteous and convenient. Thanks for the post on the Love's....
tmw188
Yep it worked out great for a stop over and WAYYYY better than the crappy CG we stayed at going north for the night off 39 and $18 cheaper.
Martinvz
Todd, that looks way better than the Walmart off the 39 at Rochelle, IL that We discussed. Not to bad at $50, but the campgrounds are becoming really expensive these days.
Tom Cherry
There is also a Cabelas about 70 miles east at Hoffman Estates.....Call to see if they allow overnight. Just one of our habits....
