Is this line (see photo) for the ice maker?

It was leaking so I turned the knob off, and the leak stopped.

It can be for the ice maker or it may go to a water filter under the sink for drinking water that usually is a small spigot on the right side of the a sink faucet.

Sink is on the opposite side of the fridge. I think is the ice maker and I turned it off and not leaking anymore.

I had a leak in the same line, found the leak, bought some SharkBite fittings, repaired line, not a big job once you find the leak.

That plastic gets brittle.  My policy is to always replace it when the first pin hole leak starts.  But sometimes access is really difficult.  Not worth water damage, however. 

 

If you do repair it, keep a close eye on it.
